    Wretched Villainy

Well since I left before we finished a similar conversation in this (Slavery, rape madness and war (Not the musical kind)) thread. Since I mostly DM, and I consider myself something of a connisseur of story rules in general, I have this emptiness in my heart that Rod Hilton's abridged movie...

    Familiars

Usually I stick to the basics. A weasle, or falcon, or black panther. But one time I played a young europeanesque lad that had a mongoose familiar named Riki. Saved me too.

    Theoretical High DC Item Creation

Well if you're going to be busting out the ELH, why not just mention epic level spells. The save DC added to the spell is only limited by your ability to plan, how much xp you wish to burn, how much help you can get, and how lucky you feel when it comes to rolling d6.

How do you deal with bad Die rolls as DM?

Making some baseless assumptions I've got two comments which you may find to be of dubious usefulness. 1. Shift the burden of rolling the dice. If it's just Hall->door->"Who's there"->"goblins"->senseless slaughter how much opportunity for success and failure is there? Simple traps, that...

WOTC messed up the Death Domain!

I add another vote for the repose domain. It's also in dieties and demigods, which, incidently, isn't a bad book to have if you're going to have a lot of divine intervention flying around.

    Slavery, Rape, Madness and War!

So now you're arguing that somehow someone who kills a person with no ability to fight back, like a child, has any measure of courage? My dictionary says courage is the capacity one has to counquer their fear and or despair. I'm certainly going to cower at the sight of all the horrible...

    Slavery, Rape, Madness and War!

More about cowardice? Fine. Some clarification first though. I thought it obvious from the way I wrote it, but I intended to accuse Dinkledog of trolling me. The people I'm calling cowards are choosing targets that they know won't fight back. It's seems almost painfully obvious. Sasha was...

What's wrong with the single-classed Ranger?

To Summerize..... What Is Wrong With The Single Classed Ranger Too few skill points per level (should be 5 or 6) The TWF virtual feat should be gained at 2nd level The Ranger's spell acquisition and progression should start one level earlier Possibly the choice of two virtual feat trees, one...

    LotR extended DVD reviews

Heh. If you can come up with a reason to goto Canada, buy the bookend version there and it won't cost you any more. It also has a national geographic disc too i think.

What's wrong with the single-classed Ranger?

I did that, and it's been sweet. Now instead of giant chunks of what might as well be a stream of random characters that I had to scroll past, I just get a little tiny line that I rarely even notice. It's more convienent than you'd think. I was certainly surprised. Once more, I've never even...

    Slavery, Rape, Madness and War!

No I think we're still dealing with the hypothetical machinations of virtual terrorists that might concievably show up in a role-playing game. I originally wasn't going to respond to M&M (but if I respond to you, I've got to respond to him). I must say the degree and absolute zeal with which...

    Slavery, Rape, Madness and War!

Two bits (four and a half bits canadian) I did a mad wizard once. That was pretty fun. It was more fun when the party killed the mad wizards only friend and ran away. Oh the party came back. The mad wizard was animating his dead friend, and was a suprised. The party killed his only and now...

    Diplomacy vs. Red Dragon

There was some guy a while back that had a thread where I posted a specific solution to a specific scenerio involving diplomacy with a red dragon. I stand by viciousness such as that. Obviously the personality of the dragon is important. But particularly with evil dragons, I think there...

What's wrong with the single-classed Ranger?

That's not even including that move silently and hide should benefit from synergy bonuses with wilderness lore when in natural surroundings.

    [OT] Anyone catch "Spirited Away"?

Miyazaki is a genius, that's for sure. I saw Spirited away at the Uptown in seattle. (One thing that ticks me off about seattle is how you have to usually go way out of your way to see some movies like Spirited Away. They're rarely the nicer theaters, and always the ones with the worst...

    One Time...at Bard Camp...

Which RPG did you use for that? Cyberpunk, Bughunters, Aliens RPG? I have to say, The Aliens RPG I have by leading edge games has to have the most comprehensive and one of the fastest combat systems of any rpg I ever played and coincidently I never ran a true Aliens(TM) adventure with it.

    Keen stacking

Really? Then why switch to latin phrases which is a move that can only serve weaken your position? It's not arguing anything from a position of fact, it's arguing from a position of "Look I took philosophy 101 at a community college. I'll stun you with other revelations like sick pigs and...

    Keen stacking

It's latin for, "I've obviously lost, so I'm switching to another language in the hope you'll get bored with my pretentiousness and wander off." At least that's what it means on the internet, in other overly self congratulatory circles it means "to the man," as opposed to idea. The people...

[OT] I've got a great idea!

Not that this will get the thread closed or anything, but.... What *is* piratecat? piratecat piratecat is a contraceptive device that operates on a quantum level and dissolves in water. From that description you'd think he was a lawyer.
