    Runestaff and UMD?

Discussed here. Numerous people believed that example to be in error, which would not surprise me. However, taking the example as gospel...

    Runestaff and UMD?

So, the question is, since you actually have to expend a divine spell slot to use a divine spell from a Runestaff, can you do that via UMD if you don't have a divine spell slot? UMD says you can emulate a class feature but you cannot use the class feature that you emulate. So, is "expending...

    Runestaff and UMD?

I would say yes, although I may have you do a second UMD check to emulate that class feature. Honestly, UMD comes up rarely in my current campaign so I am a bit foggy on it.

XP? Sorry, I've been living under a rock.

What happened to XP? It's no longer shown and there is no link to give it. Just to link this back to "D&D Legacy discussion" - XP has existed since basic edition, why not in ENWorld?

Prone and two handed weapons question

Prone doesn't have to be this (nearly impossible with a bow): It can be this: So, I guess my point is, don't go too crazy with the penalties.

    D&D 3.x Secret Arts Monk [3.5 homebrew]

I like it. A lot of good work. Let someone else fix the fighter, etc. You have done the monk. It may be a bit "busy" as far as class abilities, but so are the ToB classes.

    What can overcome Shadow Blend

I wouldn't classify Shadow Blend as a "Darkness effect" - there is no 2nd level qualifier on blur, displacement or invisibility. Therefore, I am fairly certain it would work.

    What can overcome Shadow Blend

Thinking of things is their job. When we find an invisible opponent, wild shaping or summoning dire bats is one of the first options. Then the druid can cast Faerie Fire on them.

    World without magic items

This is interesting. WARNING: TANGENT ALERT. Setting aside this campaign setting, as a general 3.5 homebrew rule, what about "Vow of Non-Casting". Any character that has no levels in a full casting class gets the benefits of the Vow of Poverty without the drawbacks. Hmmm...
