Figured out how to price the construction of a Living Golem: Price 4,500 gp + gold pieces equal to the required EXP of desired character level; Cost 2,250 gp + gold pieces equal to 1/2 of the require EXP of desired character level.

I second Liber Mechanika - and if you think the PDF is expensive, you should see what the print version is going for. They even have what you call Golem Cores (they call it a Cortex). The crafting system is solid, if a bit more complex. Ultimate Magic has some construct love in Chapter 2...
