    Plot Idea wanted: Family Hunt

Raze as in burn-and-pillage, raze as in a mispelling of "raise," or something else?

How gamebreaking would it be to allow talking animals?

Spellcasting did slip my mind...but there's a quick ad-hoc for that - you can still speak any language you know, but can't cast spells without Natural Spell because shapeshifting alters your voice. And yes, you WILL have to roleplay speaking in a funny voice when shape-shifted :D

What does a dragon's voice sound like?

I like to think that a dragon may sound like Slythe from the Thundercats, yeesss?

How gamebreaking would it be to allow talking animals?

Like going a bit Narnia up in your D20 - some advanced/magical beasts can talk, letting wildshaped folk speak their regular spoken languages. I can see it causing some fluff breakage, maybe allow for some rather advantagious roleplaying (or at least interesting when the farmer's wife runs...

    Favorite/Hated Race - and Why?

Yeah, but racism is only allowed towards fantasy creatures - Although "suggested feats" for various ethnicities work well. There are a few OGL settings, though, which add human ethnic stats (Iron Kingdoms is one). I suppose I'm a little guilty of the elf variant thing with the...

    D&D 3.x I gotz me a wall full o' 3.5

The best part is that your wall of 3.5 stuff is not invalidated, and can be converted - although with the options that are avalable through the AGP, Ultimate Magic, and soon-to-be Ultimate Combat, there's just so much good stuff that it isn't worth dealing with the jankyness of some of the 3.5...

    Favorite/Hated Race - and Why?

Mostly it is how people who like them seem to never shut up about how much they like them, followed by the absurd amount of varients under 3.5 (especially 3.5 Forgotten Realms). Sun, Moon, Wood, Drow, Star, The FR version of Raptorans, the "core" version of raptorans, half-elfs, several kinds of...

    Favorite/Hated Race - and Why?

I'm guessing because most japanese elves are just humans with pointy ears?

    Yummy Iron Rations

Oh, and beans. Can't forget beans. In fact, anything that you can purchase in the grocery store that comes dried (beans, rice) that can be reconstituted into edibility by adding water and cooking. Potatos and corn (maize), though, are "New World" foods that were later imported into Europe, if...

Pathfinder 1E Is 8 years old too young for Pathfinder?

Dude, if I had kids, I would definatly use roleplaying as a way to teach math - even up to basic algaebra. Kids already play pretend - all this does is add a few rules.

    Pathfinder 1E Modern Pathfinder?

To be honest, I am less likely to buy this with the first review being a representative of the company - even if it was just written to notify people of the Hero Labs data.

    Yummy Iron Rations

Pretty much most of this stuff is older than dirt, or a modernization of older techniques. After all, alchololic beverages came about because you couldn't drink the water.

    Psioncis as attacks/skill checks

Well, we are talking Pathfinder, which adds CMD. Between that, AC, Touch, and Flatfooted, there are plenty of defenses to target without adding more. Mind effects are always handled by a save roll than an attack roll, though. Or use a "take ten" for opposing "saves" to calculate the defence...

The Oligarchy of Mavet Rav - It's Hebrew!

Wizards has been wiping out their old 3.5 stuff on the site. "Dead" system and all.

Gamer Guilt Over Potential Gaming Shift

I suggest taking a break from GMing all together for a while. It sounds like you need it.

    Favorite/Hated Race - and Why?

Favorite: Warforged, and for the fluff - not for the mechanics. And probably for the same reasons some people hate 'em. Not-so-favorite: Gnomes. I never really know what to do with them, without letting them fall into a blanket stereotype of one kind or another. That, and in one campaign I've...

I have the same issues with Forgotten Realms and Star Wars

Ironbound: Chains of Phaetos compilation thread.

Figured out how to price the construction of a Living Golem: Price 4,500 gp + gold pieces equal to the required EXP of desired character level; Cost 2,250 gp + gold pieces equal to 1/2 of the require EXP of desired character level.

Need ideas for a parties mechanical companion rules.

I second Liber Mechanika - and if you think the PDF is expensive, you should see what the print version is going for. They even have what you call Golem Cores (they call it a Cortex). The crafting system is solid, if a bit more complex. Ultimate Magic has some construct love in Chapter 2...

    Psioncis as attacks/skill checks

I'd say just rip the Force system from Star Wars Saga.
