The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

Well, the presumption people make in mage v. whatever... is the presumption of a fair fight. A wizard does not have all of his protective spells cast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A monk that manages to sneak up next to an unsuspecting wizard (hide/move silently) or uses diplomacy to get in...

Drinking from the Goblet of Amgems

Houndlings.. So, tell me if this is WILDLY overpowered. A militaristic band of halflings that, rather than being the friendly traders and caravaneers... are prone to murdering members of those caravans and taking their stuff. Think of them like murderous, albeit not exactly evil...

New to D&D, playing Favored Soul, suggestions welcome

The Shining Blade of Heironeous is a terrible PrC. Avoid it at all costs. Really Flavored Soul has some pretty reasonable bonuses as you increase in level, it's not a terribad idea just to keep going. However, consider the Stormlord PrC with a few changes based on your pantheon. Rather than...

    Uh... what?

Oh look. You're trying to be witty. Very cute. A shame you didn't notice the font. The color of the font. The position of the lettering. The position of the sword. Adding in noticing that there's a sword your snot nosed comment would've been five times as funny. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997...

    Beguiler Build and group despair.

The best way to not make the Sorc jelly is by having the Beguiler come with contacts, or means of acquiring contacts in most civilized areas. When the Beguiler gets to city A have him roll knowledge local and the higher his roll the more impressive his contact, or network in the area is...

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

We're not talking Versus. This isn't on the PvP server of World of Dungeoncraft. In the cooperative RPG that D&D typically is... the discrepancy between the Fighter and the Monk is not significant and the Monk has a number of defenses the Fighter lacks.

    Disintegrate does not affect trees

It says it disintegrates as much as X cubic feet of nonliving matter. First, this could simply mean it disintegrates any portions of the tree that are not living. For example, to a human that means your epidermis just got vaporized, along with your eyelashes. However, it the "as much as X cubic...

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

You know, outside of greater weapon focus... I don't think a fighter really has that significant of an advantage in hitting over the Monk. A lvl 20 Monk is 15/15/15/10/5. A lvl 20 fighter is 20/15/10/5. Two rolls of +15 has to have a greater likelihood of landing a strike than a single roll...

Didn't the fighter get... two expensive magic items?

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

How significantly better is a sword and board Fighter to a Monk if that monk largely ignores dexterity and wisdom? A Fighter with a +5 Heavy Shield, +5 Fullplate, and 12 dex will have an AC of 32. A lvl 20 Monk with +8 Armor bracers, a +6 dex item, and a +6 wisdom item, with 12 base dex would...

    D&D 3.x Help a Bard in Ravenloft 3.5

Its been discussed.. that vampires can't go to mist form in an antimagic field. I recall a pair of manacles.. that when placed upon a body.. subjected them to such a field. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2

Unsympathetic Saga: Experimental LA buyoff rules.

The above mentioned Pixie ia n excellent example of this. Trade five feets for ridiculous stats, defenses, and nifty abilities.

Unsympathetic Saga: Experimental LA buyoff rules.

Worse from which perspective? Which character, at lvl 20 is a joke without its 7 feats? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2

Unsympathetic Saga: Experimental LA buyoff rules.

That's the point. You're trading the advantages of the race for the feats.

What Arcane Traditions, Domains, Schemes , etc... Do you want?

I'd like domains to be enhanced. Currently the "Good Domain" gives you +1 to "Good Spells". That seems pretty stupid. Instead, certain domains should be modifiers of other domains. For example, you could choose "Good Community" and you'd have all kinds of zany characters as a third level...

Unsympathetic Saga: Experimental LA buyoff rules.

Goes a little something like this. Choose any race you like and start as a first level character. You must choose the Unsympathetic Saga feat as your first level feat. Henceforth you have a circumstance penalty to all ability scores equal to your level adjustment and racial levels, to a...

Nobody knows the classes like I do!

Nope, I hope it was baffelingly and inescapably difficult for "some people" to understand. Makes it all the more righteous, yo. Hate on haters. =)

Nobody knows the classes like I do!

Then he's Michael Jordan laying bricks. To put it more succinctly... the fighter who is "just an ordinary guy" is still an "ordinary guy" who masters fighting techniques and is just as accurate with a sword as the divine warrior from the gods, and the peak of human physical perfection jungle...
