How would you do 3.5e in 160 pages?

Ideally, there would be only a few monsters for each CR, along with ways to enhance them on the fly (similar to advancing HD, but a little more robust).

How would you do 3.5e in 160 pages?

True. But it saves a lot of space, which is what the topic's about. Something similar could be done for monsters.

That's why you have to play it in Soviet Russia, so it cancels out.

Computers beat up my role player

Nethack is mostly single player. There's no DM involved, except for an extremely talented dev team. (which puts up a new version every now and then, taking into account player input. Of course, the game is open source, so anyone can mod it if they like. ) All the contingencies and special...

Computers beat up my role player

    I don't see why nethack isn't a role-playing game by this definition.

Computers beat up my role player

This is more an artifact of scientific definitions being different from the ones in common usage than of people being incorrect. Is a whale a fish? It used to be, but the scientific definition of fish changed it.

    Are CRPGs really role-playing games?

Almost all MMORPGs make sense if you assume the god of time has gone horribly, horribly mad.

Computers beat up my role player

So, let's say we've got a party playing ODnD with a DM who is a bilingual. He is a native English speaker, but is not entirely fluent in, say, Russian. He wants to make a judgment call to a Russian player, but has momentarily forgotten the Russian word for pirate, so he can't. By your...

    Just Plain Broken

Anything involving it either dramatically increases power level (because of the time trait relative to the material plane), or is horribly nerfing. In the former case, planar bubble + sculpt spell (or planeshift, or gate) gives unlimited recovery/offensive setup in combat. Like a permanent...

Helm of Opposite Alignment ... Think "A Clockwork Orange"

Let's say we have... oooh, a half-fiend baby, which by definition is always evil. Is putting the helmet on it an evil action? Let's say it spends all its conscious life with a good alignment, and has never acted in an evil manner. Is it evil to cast wish to restore the half-fiend's original...
