Helm of Opposite Alignment ... Think "A Clockwork Orange"

It can be. I was deliberately vague in my definition of object. Additionally, it can be the possession of somebody who does have a will.

Helm of Opposite Alignment ... Think "A Clockwork Orange"

Hmm... let's see if I can do a reducto ad absurdium on this... Picking up objects is inherently evil. However, any specific act consists of all of its parts, and the evil of picking up items may be justifiable in certain circumstances. Saving a life, for instance, or clearing up litter. But you...

An artifact that grants divine rank 0

Gaining divine rank zero allows you to gain further divine ranks if you follow *hideously_complex_Ritual* and gain worshippers. There's an evil magician who's working on ascension, and searching for the orb as well.

Help me defend (or attack) this kingdom (long)

Who needs to build bridges when you have wall of stone and fabricate? Also, contagion + animal messenger is a great army killer.

    My First TPK

I wasn't being entirely serious either. It would be just as easy to sa: "I'd like to start the next adventure with you guys in jail. Tell me how you got there, and how many of Lord Nefarious' minions did you take down." That way the players still have some control of the situation, and it...

Helm of Opposite Alignment ... Think "A Clockwork Orange"

Alignment restrictions when crafting significantly lower the cost. They also prevent any problems with accidentally converting good people. Helm goes on, helm comes off. Helm goes on, helm comes off. Repeat until they get a natural one.

My first TPK was even better! I wasn't even playing in the same game as the characters who were killed!

    Saga: Reroll vs. Skill Focus

IIRC, skill checks don't have critical failures/successes. About ninety percent of the time I'd go for the skill focus. There aren't many times when you need a super-high check that you won't be able to take twenty on.

It's been done, actually, although not in official tournaments (since the hosts didn't want a computer to claim grandmastership.)

    About schools of magic

IMC it's a school of thought. Specialists approach spellcasting in such a way that some spells come more naturally to them. Unfortunately, this leads to some forms of magic being almost incomprehensible.
