    D&D 5E (2014) Necromancer Games - 3 5E books announced!

We will be sticking with B&W (there are reasons that are talked about on the Kickstarter comments). And we don't want them to be ALL leathers! The poor artists would never get their art shown that way! :D

D&D 5E (2014) Now that Necromancer Games is back

Of course, what we ARE doing is putting out monster book called "Fifth Edition Foes" (that funded!) and a fantastic book of adventures called "Quests of Doom" which will include at least 12 adventures and up to 18 more with the stretch goals. "Quests of Doom" will include updates to the books...

D&D 5E (2014) Now that Necromancer Games is back

Sword & Sorcery Studios published Necromancer Games products. They are two separate companies. I know that a lot of people conflate the two (especially since Bill and Clark were heavily involved in both The Creature Catalog and Relics and Rituals) but Necromancer Games doesn't have the rights to...

    D&D General Monster ENCyclopedia: Aarakocra

Whoops! Didn't know I had that backwards! Didn't know about the Creature Catalog until the Tome of Horrors was being done because I was fairly laser-focused on being a Necromancer Games fan. :D

    D&D 5E (2014) Sneak Attack with a handaxe?

4E doesn't even enter into it for me. I didn't play it, so it has no bearing on how I would rule it at my table. Sneak attack requires a finesse OR a ranged weapon. A thrown hand-axe acts as a ranged weapon no matter what stat is used to modify the roll. If it said finesse AND ranged, I would...

    D&D 5E (2014) Sneak Attack with a handaxe?

From p. 45 of D&D Basic Rules v1.0 Handaxe 5 gp 1d6 slashing 2 lb. Light, thrown (range 20/60) It's got a range listing (and so do javelins, tridents, and spears) so it counts for me IF it's being used as a range weapon.

    D&D 5E (2014) Is a +3 weapon needed...when it boosts damage by 53%?

Unless you can't beat encounters without +3 weapons, you won't need them.
