    Weird Error in SH Forum

I'm having that problem too. Not when I preview a post, though. Instead it happens if I try to edit a previously submitted post. I was just updating two of my Story Hour threads a few minutes ago and was able to edit posts in the first thread with no difficulty. But when I went to edit a post...

Heritage of Dragonsreach (UPDATED September 4, 2007)

Risen Bones Xiao Lu is going to have a surprise when she returns from Mezro - although I have no doubt she already knows what has transpired here. But knowing about the new arrivals and meeting them are quite different matters. The decision was made to use the token Rose's mother gave us to...

A Journey to the Sea (Greyhawk) UPDATED 7 February 2008

Letter #46 We're returning to this campaign while another campaign goes on hiatus, and I realized I hadn't brought it up to date. I've also inserted the "Quips & Quotes" inside the text where they originally occurred, but s-blocked for those who don't want to read them. ---sniffles...

Characters coming and going (your opinion)

As a player, I can empathize with him. It's his character; he took the time to create this character and bring it to the table. He has a certain investment in this character. He thought he'd be comfortable with letting everyone else take care of his baby while he was gone, but now he's having...

I am addicted to "Order of the Stick"

I think there would be too many of us to fit in one location for our club meetings. ;) Become a doctor and discover a cure for Rich's health condition and you might get your wish. :(

    Subtitles or dubbing?

I prefer subtitles. It's so seldom that the actors do their own dubbing. I like to hear their voices. And the decision-making process of who to get for the dubbed voices often leaves me saying, "WTF? Why the heck did they choose *that* voice?!" But I admit sometimes subtitles are distracting...

    Best.. USB HUB... ever....!

I need one of those. (drool) I could arrange my Rolykin Daleks around it in a nice diorama...

What level is your current character?

I have more than one character currently, since we have a rotating schedule of ongoing games. I currently have one 16th-level character. I have two 10th-level characters, in two different campaigns. I have one 9th-level character. And I have one 5th-level character.

Shadows of Greatness, a Forgotten Realms campaign UPDATED February 1, 2008

A Joyous Event As we awaited the occasion of the prayer vigil for Covenant that Liadan had arranged, my companions and I continued to discuss our future intentions. Nekaya-Re was convinced that we should attempt the use of the portal in Elishar’s temple. Erim agreed with this opinion, as did...

What classes did you play, which did you like?

I've never played a monk or a paladin, but I've played every other class at least once and I enjoyed playing all of them. I've just recently started my first 3e wizard, and I'm finding that wizards really rock (especially with elf wizard racial substitution levels)! ;)

The Collected Journals of Artemis Heuw Cannith

Edits to last post I made a couple of additions to the last post to include some scenes I'd inadvertently omitted. We had to solve a puzzle involving some talking sculptured heads in order to find the right way to head for the tomb, and we crossed a raging underground river by making a zip-line...

The Collected Journals of Artemis Heuw Cannith

Azlin's tale, parts 12 - 14 I'm three sessions behind and we have another session scheduled for tomorrow, so this post is going to be rather compressed to get the story current. --sniffles --------------------------------------------- "There's something wrong. No one's here," says Artemis. He's...

    Whatever happened to Zogonia?

Zogonia is one of the things I miss most about no more printed Dragon. Tony, I'm really hoping for more fun with Domato, Kev and Dindil soon! :)

I need a crash course on Eberron

This is one of the "flavors" of Eberron that makes it particularly interesting to play in. In Sharn, for example, as well as having tremendously tall towers (taller than real-world skyscrapers), PCs can jump off of things and feather fall for great distances. So combats or chases taking place in...

    Suggestion for nonstandard party

Just from personal experience, a duskblade with Power Attack and Cleave kicks a$$. A friend of mine is running one in a current campaign, and despite being a goblin with Strength penalties, she's often the one who takes out the biggest bad guys. Her ability to infuse her weapon with shocking...

Flavor text - describing the loot

Part of what inspired me to think about these issues is that I receive a number of catalogs that include lots of merchandise which would make for cool loot. Pyramid Collection and Museum Replicas catalogs are full of stuff that looks like something you'd hand out in a game. As I said, I love...

Flavor text - describing the loot

I'm a big fan of Paizo's item cards, for convenience of tracking my PC's equipment. But I buy the cards myself - my GMs typically don't use them to hand out treasure. Most of the time I cover up the flavor text with a sticky note containing the stats of the item it represents. I usually try to...

Shadows of Greatness, a Forgotten Realms campaign UPDATED February 1, 2008

Freedom Liadan murmured a short prayer to Lathander and a wave of soothing energy passed over us, closing some of Ruathar’s wounds. We were surrounded by a crowd of locals who had swarmed to Nekaya-Re when she offered coin for their aid. The crowd pressed closer when they felt the effect of...

Doctor Who (Season 4) - Voyage of the Damned (SPOILERS)

Very little happened after Mr. Copper hugged the Doctor. They had a bit more chat, mostly of a humorous nature, and then the Doctor left. Ended on both an upbeat and downbeat note, really - Mr. Copper was happy, but the Doctor seemed lonely and sad.

HBO's ROME Series: D&D campaign possible?

I was over at a friend's place yesterday and discovered he'd just picked up Green Ronin's Eternal Rome. I took a look, and it looks like it could nicely fit the tv series setting and time period into a d20 milieu. It covers the inclusion of non-humans, and makes some nice adjustments to core...
