I guess now that you mention it Princesskeyblade was the only one to mention it being a problem with Easter. I was confusing the other people on page one who said they were unable to make it as part of some Easter Weekend Event conspiracy.

Is it just me or does it seem a lot of people keep saying they won't be able to make it because of the holiday weekend, resulting in a potentially small, or at the least, very local Gameday? Maybe we could ask George to push it back a week or so, or did he give us that date cause he knows...

It depends on the game. I've played a number of RPGs now that use 'profession', 'background' or 'job' skills with more importance than on personal combat skills. :-S

What, no 2nd Person love? As the GM of a game I use 2nd person and 3rd person narrative the most, hardly ever using 1st. As a player I use 1st person and 3rd person most, hardly ever using 2nd.

I've just started to fiddle around with Mouse Guard and think that game could handle a situation like this very well.

Truth be told, I hate RPGs, I just go to the gameday to absorb all his positive attitude vibes. :p

As for more GMs, what about bringing back the prizes (especially for GMs?)? I remember years past when there were those LockKey (was that the name) events for a prize. Nothing too crazy, I realize you already do a lot and usually end up paying for most of the pizza that gets there too. And...

Non-human races are just for powergaming and munchkins. Especially the furry ones.

The only RPG of all the dozen or so I've played ever and had the urge to houserule is Dungeons & Dragons.

I'm with the Auld Grump. Thought Savage Worlds sounded real cool (and at $10 for the Explorers Edition why not just to check it out?) and played a bunch of it. Found it was pretty bland. The dice-mechanics are awkward too.

NichG, that magic system is very similar to how sorcery, miracles and alchemy are handled in Barbarians of Lemuria.
