My group was horrified my sorceror didn't take magic missile(and won't - it's boring for a magical poet! ;) ). The first level attack spell I chose was color spray which was MUCH more useful in the lower levels. If we were up against a lot of undead I would have chosen something else perhaps...

Thanks for the reply PC but some of these polls were created the same day I first looked at the thread, eg MerricB's Archetypal vs Menu-style characters. And other users have voted since, ie the numbers have increased.

My group gets awarded xp at the end of each session based on their level adjusted a little for how well they played. The base amount is one fifth of the required xp for the highest level character to go up a level (i.e. new level min xp requirement minus current level min xp requirement divided...
