Is TOMB OF HORRORS the Worst Adventure Of All Time?

Good gravy... he was 12 years old. How much maturity do you expect?

Pathfinder 1E Looking for mid-level campaing

Thanks guys. We've settled on WotBS (ok, I've decided so ...). I had already started that with a group that unfortunately died after 1 session, so I'm comfortable running it. I think the fights are not too hard to adjust, and if the first book turns out a bit of a breeze, it's not too bad, as...

Is TOMB OF HORRORS the Worst Adventure Of All Time?

Hilarious article, thank you John Wick. Sure, he kinda missed the point, and his 12-year-old self simply didn't play it "right", but: The bit with the replay years later and the Bag of Holding alone is priceless. Laughed a lot.

Pathfinder 1E Looking for mid-level campaing

Thanks for the input. Yeah, first chapters often have "just" introductory material to get the players on track. I'm not sure I would want to skip that and try to work around that. Lazy DM, remember? ;) How viable would Zeitgeist be to start with characters of 4rd level? Or WotBS, for that matter.

D&D 5E (2014) Do you want your DM to fudge?

Incidentally, I just finished GMing a modulefor our group and asked the players to fill in a survey that, among others, contained just this question. Outcome: 5/5 players voted "No!". So, I'll keep rolling rolls out in the open (except stuff like secret perception checks or whatever)

Pathfinder 1E Looking for mid-level campaing

Hi there, our on-again-off-again group of gamers has finally found the right combinateion of players to set up a regular RP slot. So, we're sitting here with sharacters of 3rd level (or 4th, as I could have them level for the last module I ran them through) and after so far playing single...

ZEITGEIST Designing a character for Zeitgeist.

Hello there, I have literally just become aware of a chance to play Zeitgeist PF (via PbP) and I'm more than a tad stoked about it. Now, I'm going to use this thread to develope ideas about a character that I will pitch to the GM, and if anyone feels like feedbacking or helping, they are more...

    DriveThruRPG Hacked

Anyone else not able to log into DTRPG? I even went so far as to request a new password, but no reply in like 30 minutes...

AMA with Monte Cook (Numenera, D&D, Monte Cook Games, Malhavoc Press)

Uuh, looks like I'm not quite too late yet, splendid. As someone working in the business (and by the look of things, you seem to be working 20+ hours 7 days a week all year long....), do you actually get a chance to PLAY stuff? What was the last 2 or 3 games (pen&paper, board games, otherwise)...

Pathfinder 1E Out now: Ten of a Kind - The Warrior

My first book is now available at Drivethru! Plan to play a warrior? Looking for some inspiration? Ten of a Kind - The Warrior takes a closer look at ten very different kinds of warrior type characters. The book strives to mesh in-game mechanics with character background in a way that makes...

Gosh, I wish someone would do that for Pathfinder. Someone not ME, of course. :P Great work!

Social Duels & Dual Identities: Playtest Pathfinder's ULTIMATE INTRIGUE

At first glance, looks like we're getting more (flexible) hybrid classes. I would most certainly hope, that a book like that will contain some interesting out-of-combat interaction mechanics. We'll see.

AMA with Shanna Germain (author, editor, co-owner of Monte Cook Games, lead designer of No Thank You, Evil!)

Hi Shanna, thank you for doing this AMA, cool stuff. I've always felt that "the RP crowd" in general is not overly sexist / chauvinist. Most of the time, the people I play or work with don't care about the gender of the rest of the group. Is that something you can confirm, both as a player and...

    WotBS Campaign seting, Deities

Thanks guys. I'm starting to think I should probably start a Wiki to collect the info that's in the books in one single place. Anyone have 2 extra hours for each day laying around somewhere that they could pass on to me? ;)

    WotBS Campaign seting, Deities

I know there is no dedicated Campaign Setting material for this, I already asked. ;) But as for a pantheon, is there a list of dieties used? So far, having read through the 1st book guides, I get the feeling that the authors intentionally avoided creating any gods by simply stating, a cleric is...

WotBS Experiences with the bonus adventures in 3.5 complete campaign

Can I ask: Where does one find those mentioned adventures? And, having only run the first session of the first book, but having some experience running Paizos APs under my belt, I'd agree that time will be a major issue. So, personally, I'd not run them within the big campaign. I might, in fact...

WotC's Nathan Stewart: "Story, Story, Story"; and IS D&D a Tabletop Game?

I kinda get the feeling WotC are trying to become "more Paizo". All this "release Stories regularly (read: AP) and make sure all the crunch matches the stories (read: Sourcebooks, audiobooks, hardcovers, miniatures and what-not following the current AP)".....

    Carrion Crown Adventure Path

4 out of 5 rating for Carrion Crown Adventure Path I had the pleasure of running this as a DM through the 2nd Book, and I read the rest as well, several times. I can see some of the criticism provided in other review as legit; the AP is certainly not sandboxed, the fact that basically you have...

Pathfinder 1E Wondering which are the best Paizo APs?

Well, I'm honestly a bit surprised (and pleasantly so) to see such an old AP rank so high. I was expecting the rankings to be pretty well release date in reverse, the newer the higher.
