    Controversy makes great content !

I really don't think it should be called the "ORC license"

I don't think many people have a problem with legacy orcs, they weren't intentionally being compared to minorities.

    orcs attack Alex Kammer

I mean seriously, the orcs or maybe just regular pieces of poop are now attacking upstanding people like Alex Kammer I think this is why I left twitter, just garbage. instead of attacking an upstanding member of the community, maybe fix your garbage drivethru offerings...

    D&D 4E Introducing Orcus -- a 4E retroclone

What I am most impressed by, is the prescience to call it ORCus.

Washington Post: The WOTC dragon is “to be slain.”

That is going to hurt. One day Jeremy Crawford should post the screaming from the board room.

What are your thoughts on system-less worldbuilding/setting books?

Depends on the license. I could see how generic settings would blow up right now for all the people copying D&D mechanics.

D&D General Linda Codega Interviews Critical Roles Marisha Ray and Matthew Mercer

I'm guessing they will do another round of nothing. meanwhile Matt will be working on Critical Creatures for his new Critical Quest TTRPG.

Over 1,500 Publishers Support Paizo's Upcoming Open RPG Creator's License

I don't fall for it, but I'm pretty sure critical role will fall for it, on purpose, and then all the others will fall in line.

D&D 5E (2014) Attack of the Clones: What would you want in your not-quite-5e?

Damnit it man, we don't need another 5e. I was so excited, I thought you were doing a star wars game set in the clone wars....

I really don't think it should be called the "ORC license"

I love Paizos and Kobold Press' work. But it was pretty dumb to call it ORC. Wizards already knocked the ORC prone with a creative commons license cantrip. They are waiting for the right moment to dismiss it as the "racist license".

    Legal Discussion of OGL 1.2

Foundry is a great piece of software for the home game, where one person is technical enough to run the software on their computer. Or for the remote DM who can adjust their firewall settings to let people use it. Or even for something who will host your foundry for you. But it doesn't scale up...

The new OGL 1.2, What is Victory?

completely true, I'm getting sick of that too, but somehow they always drag me in, because they do try new things. all the copies of 5e and basic DnD though, only with a different product name, I'm just depressed.

The new OGL 1.2, What is Victory?

I dont think the average player wants to see the continuing lack of innovation with just same content repackaged over and over.

The new OGL 1.2, What is Victory?

Not even close to the truth. I cared about most of the changes, but I don't really care enough to follow the revocation changes. The old license caused a stagnation in D&D. Hundreds of people just regurgitating 5th edition or basic D&D over and over. Really killed off innovation. Even now its...

The new OGL 1.2, What is Victory?

I am pretty sure wizards could change nothing, and just give away their entire IP, and people would still be upset. I think at this point, your average player is going to lose interest in this fight, wizards walked back everything except for a small portion that few people really care about...

WotC Unveils Draft of New Open Gaming License

Alright, I see how it can get sticky if you are licensing from someone who can only license to you because they licensed it from someone else.

Over 1,500 Publishers Support Paizo's Upcoming Open RPG Creator's License

They lost the initiative. Wizards just knee capped the orc with a Creative Commons cantrip.

Bugbears & Borderlands OPEN early access

I don't see how you can release that without an OGL, its large chunks of spells and magic items just copied from D&D. Maybe you can get away with individual ones, but just copying tons of them? Dangerous. And you forgot to rename your new abilities from the standard D&D ones on the character...
