I don't think many people have a problem with legacy orcs, they weren't intentionally being compared to minorities.

I love Paizos and Kobold Press' work. But it was pretty dumb to call it ORC. Wizards already knocked the ORC prone with a creative commons license cantrip. They are waiting for the right moment to dismiss it as the "racist license".

Foundry is a great piece of software for the home game, where one person is technical enough to run the software on their computer. Or for the remote DM who can adjust their firewall settings to let people use it. Or even for something who will host your foundry for you. But it doesn't scale up...

completely true, I'm getting sick of that too, but somehow they always drag me in, because they do try new things. all the copies of 5e and basic DnD though, only with a different product name, I'm just depressed.

Not even close to the truth. I cared about most of the changes, but I don't really care enough to follow the revocation changes. The old license caused a stagnation in D&D. Hundreds of people just regurgitating 5th edition or basic D&D over and over. Really killed off innovation. Even now its...

I am pretty sure wizards could change nothing, and just give away their entire IP, and people would still be upset. I think at this point, your average player is going to lose interest in this fight, wizards walked back everything except for a small portion that few people really care about...

Alright, I see how it can get sticky if you are licensing from someone who can only license to you because they licensed it from someone else.

They lost the initiative. Wizards just knee capped the orc with a Creative Commons cantrip.

I don't see how you can release that without an OGL, its large chunks of spells and magic items just copied from D&D. Maybe you can get away with individual ones, but just copying tons of them? Dangerous. And you forgot to rename your new abilities from the standard D&D ones on the character...
