Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

Im sure Devyn was speaking of the whole Dragon/Dungeon thing, not just the DL thing. My group gamed Saturday morning, and we discussed it then, and that is quite outside 48 hours ago.

Now WotC has taken Dragonlance (merged)

The D&D brand is worth a lot more on the auction block with all these other IP's attached and included too.

Who is interested in the Digital Initiative?

I'm waiting to see exactly what form it takes, what kind of rights management it incorporates, etc. We do not use computers at the gaming table..if we want to play video games, we'll pla video games. AT BEST right now, it looks like I get saddled with the cost of printing and binding it...

Do you tell player's what the DC is for a check?

Rarely I usually give more of a "gut feel" description for the players to know, but in situations where the character's life is on the line, or in truly "make or break" moments, I'll lay it all out there before the roll. Watching all my players stand up and crane thier necks to see the result...

Does miracle cost XP when killing Mr. T?

As compared to all those other uses of the spell that will yield more exps than it costs. Or maybe all those other impossible events it might duplicate when needed that cost no exp. Believe it or not, some things have a price

Dreamcatcher... Find the Dreamcatcher series, and the couple other series put out by that same author. If those disappoint you, time to uninstall NWN :)

Dealing With The Fun Of Area of Effect Spells

The problem is more that wild magic is sort of a one trick pony. Encounter it enough that it's solved the OP's problem, and you've got so much wild magic around that you wonder why there are any spellcasters left at all. It'd work once...it's not a solution to the bigger problem.

    The GF in the Game

Depends ..on whether the significant other is there to game, or to compete with the game. My wife is a player in the game I DM and has been since we got together, but she had some background before we were together, though it was online. Yeah, we met during the EQ beta...for every thousand...

    I challenge you

Aside from the fact that it's highly illegal and likely untrue (outside of the rare illegal practice I'm sure exists), I'm sure the person laying on the operating table 4 pints low will thank you for not padding someone's office. It's the BLOOD that's helping people, that's why you give it.

Would you play D&D in a public place?

Said no... But I *might* again, and have before. In general I find those kinds of places just too busy to keep people's attention. It almost takes on the air of a promotional stunt. More secluded places, such as parks and whatnot are better...but this is a paper based hobby and the wind is...

    Is DDO worth it?

Well... Here's another vote from someone who was in the Beta, and that was enough to put me off the game. It may have improved since release, I don't know. The best advice I can give about it is to approach it as a game that has a lot of D&D'isms in it, but it's not D&D. Turbine made the...

Why HD-DVD will win the Format War (For mature audience ... and 14-year-old boys)

I know of at least one company down in Cali that has solved whatever "hurdles" were in the way of burning blu-ray and HD-Dvd formats to the same disc, or burning a disc in a way either could read (not sure which). Sadly, it will likely not garner the support of EITHER side in this battle.

    Cure Minor Wounds 1/Minute

Ahhh, so the point there is that the Ring of Regeneration just isn't 90,000g worth of goodness. Some days it's a wonder I can function at all

So, what was the first product where D&D's soul was sold?

Had a dire weasel in my house once. It would provoke me to buy just about anything.

    Cure Minor Wounds 1/Minute

Hmm? You seem to have a break from the OP's question in your post. Are you saying you'd then price an item that healed 1/minute at 60x more, or 60,000g? (Well on our way back to Ring of Regen prices)... Or was that a typo and you mean to say 1,000g for 1/minute, not 1/hour?

    Wall of Fire Spell

Yep That is exactly what it says. Sorcerers don't maintain spellbooks, or any written form of magical understanding at all. They know what they know, it springs from force of will. When you gain a new level and get some spells, that is new power manifesting..the untapped reserve expandng...
