    Your accumulated 3.x list?

yup. Just what you actually are in possession of. It cracks me up though. I listed ALMOST everything I have RPG (pen/paper rpg) wise, and people tell me I have too many books. The only thing I can do is luagh and tell them that until I can fill up at LEAST two book shelves, I don't have NEAR...

    Your accumulated 3.x list?

I'm wondering what everyone else has managed to include in their 3.x list (Particularly WotC, but others too). Hers's mine: Unknown assorted Dragon Mags. WotC: Complete Warrior Heros of Battle Cityscape Races of stone Libris Mortis Complete Arcane Manual of the Planes Sandstorm Races of the...

    TSR Q&A with Gary Gygax

Not sure if this has been asked before, but have you ever taken much flack for being tied so heavily to a game that so many consider to be "evil"?

    (Noob) D20 Modern: Class system

Exactly. I had a player ask me a while back if he could get some "complimentry" feats if he were to practice the feat in his off time. The reply, wich I had to look up somewhere to explain, was that it is assumed that you practice in the off time as it is. That is to say, you can't up your STR...

    Campaign plans

So how many of you who don't start RIGHT IN the campaign, have PC's that "ask around" for somthing that sounds adventure worthy? (IOW, drill the local bar-keep and other such gossip-ish people). This tends to happen in my games, wich would make it REALLY easy to have a pre-made campaign. I'de...

    Campaign plans

I'm realizing more and more how unorthodox my group seems to be. I'm wondering if this is just me, or it it's true. So, how many of you DMs actually have a campaign planned out when you start your game? Or at least, how many of you have a campaign plan period?

How do I bow out of the game gracefully?

Strap 1,000 lbs of alchamist fire to your chest, badda-bing! Perhaps suggest moving the game closer to you. If they have to travel as far, maybe they'll realize that they are wasting so much time, and the game will improve for everyone.

    Social Mobility in a Game

Makes sense. I guess it boils down to the players idea of a good time. I have a group who are EXACTLY the opposite. Eternal legend sounds good, but a good ale and a crud load of gold is just as good. At least, by their philosophy. I mis-judged the ideal, though, i think. While I would (as a pc)...

    Social Mobility in a Game

The way I see it, and maybe this is a ways off, but if they want to move up in a church or try to get to king, they would do it through "Trails". "Prove your faith by recruiting and hosting a crusade." or "Prove yourself worthy to rule by killing the OTHER guy that ruled." Seems like it would...

    "No Core" game

Our group right now has a half-dragon gnoll, and a...thing from Races of the Wild. The classes WERE base, but prestiged now. I personally am trying to get closer to the cores, simply becuase I'm admittadly not the best DM, and I've been a PC too long. I simply flip through all my books for what...

    Social Mobility in a Game

Ah the dream of every party :D I personally don't think it gets much popularity mainly becuase it's hard to award role play points. How do you variate what was done well or not, how do you overcome a task? combat, on the other hand, is MUCH easier. I don't mind at all if they jump up in ranks...

    The Laws of the Dungeon

Thought someone would have posted this by now. Maybe I missed it. But the NUMBER ONE rule that I learned, the hard way: NEVER, in ANY sircumstance, EVER say, in ANY language, be it in game or out, "Suprise me."

    Back to basics

I'd kinda like to, and kinda like to think that I COULD, but I tend to need an excuse. Considering there are only three of us, and I"m the only one "Capable" to DM (I suck, proud of it :P ), I seem to feel responsibly to have a group desicion rather than an inforcement by the DM. I have a...

    Back to basics

So, recently I let all 2 of my players go wild, and make whatever they could think of as PCs. mind you, we have a weird group, so we did come up with some weird things, despite the seemingly non-existant restrictions I applied. We have a half-dragon-gnoll, and a ... big barbarian...thing. :P...
