    New publisher for Iron Heroes,

Yeah, Blood Storm is a very good adventure module. Didn't quite have the sales the Dark Harbor did, but I think that's mostly due to the fact that the Iron Heroes seemed abandoned by Malhavoc. It was just some of us diehard fans still holding the fort. :D Adam (a.k.a Capellan at ENWorld...

    Dealing with powergamers

The difference in powers can be produced even without breaking the rules. All it requires is some players not focused on singlemindedly maximizing combat power versus one player optimizing whole hog. Some players will even choose feats based on what their characters have experienced, or choose...

    Dark*Matter: Discovery, The Chicago Ripper

"Nice shot, Diego. Report to the office what we've found, then let's check the rest of the house, make sure there's noone else around." With those words Larry moves to the fallen cultist and searches him for clues. He doesn't take long and joins Diego in sweeping the rest of the house. After...

    Oots 419.

Nah, seh can't become a Blackguard cause she doen't have Sunder* as a feat. She's sunk all her feat choices into the subpar TWF feat chain :p * She did Sunder the throne, but noone was threatening her so she might have not had to worry about an AoO.

    Dark*Matter: Discovery, The Chicago Ripper

"Toss the gun, jackass. We've got you covered. This is the last chance." In a crouch Larry extends his gun, ready to fire at the first indication that the man isn't surrendering. OOC: Unless the guy tosses the gun, Larry is ready to shoot him when he has a clean shot.

    Wealth & Pooling of Resources

As I mentioned previously, the system I use works pretty well. two people of very similar wealth (1-2 points apart) benefit pretty well from pooling resources. Once the wealth differences is 4 points apart, the ability to cooperate is negligible. I didn't pull the formula out of thin air. it's...

    Wealth & Pooling of Resources

I'm basing it on the fact that Wealth is not linear. As I emntioned previously, the wealth system is based on a geomtric progression, based on the fact that a +8 increase in purchase DC implies a x10 cost in $ It's not in the SRD, but it is in the book. IIRC, something with a purchase DC of 10...

    Wealth & Pooling of Resources

The thing is, Wealth isn't linear, it's exponential. Splitting 1 DC 40 purchase into 4 is aproximately 4 purchases at DC 36 see, a +2 increase in Wealth is about double the price

    Wealth & Pooling of Resources

Well, I did some work on this, based mostly on a Star wars conversion to A Wealth system by Moridin. There's 2 things two consider here: Someone with +8 wealth helping out someone with a +17 wealth, isn't actually very useful. You have to remeber that a +8 difference in Wealth is a 10x...

    LOTR from a gamer's perspective

You're right about the RAW of course. But IME, when PCs go into a red dragon's lair, having them choking and crisped to a burn just by approaching, would make for encounters not as fun. I want my heroes leaping from unmelted rock to unmelted rock, twirling and tumbling around until they can gain...

Or D&D. remember that you can stand right next to burning lava by the RAW, and not be exposed to face melting heat, or toxic fumes that would eat right through your lungs. :D

Who's got the right stuff for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1990s?

Someone mentioned that the 6 million dollar man wasn't gray enough. Well Quatermain, isn't either in the original books. The comic book starts him off as addicted to Opium from what someone mentioned. Something similar could have happened to Steve Austin. Say he was replaced by newer Tech...
