Who's got the right stuff for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen 1990s?

Agreed, that was a good show. But I'm not sure about including him. He didn't really have any special powers that I remember, except for the whole back from the dead.

Ah, I'd always assumed this was a constant frustration. Not necessarily seen it as escalating. YMMV.

Prepare for the Quality v/s Quantity argument. :p

I took it to mean that he's going to disguise a lot of skeletons to look like Xykon, to draw and waste the defender's firepower. If Recloak really wanted to take down Xykon, he should have done it before he reformed. He is the holder of the philactery after all.

    LOTR from a gamer's perspective

Heh. I was referncing on of those hilariou flash comics in which Boromir comes up with a plan to build a giant catapult to fire the ring into the volcano. I guess Hong is the only one who gets that reference. :p

New Design Paradigms - What are they and are they good or bad?

Ah, you mean like Iron Heroes. ;) All class abilities (except the Arcanist*) are based on per/encounter abilities in IH. The only limit to how much you can do in a day is HPs. * Which is one of the biggest beefs with the RAW arcanist. Thankfully Mearl's erccomended using the Warlock. The...

Is RAISE DEAD (etc.) too readily available in most D&D campaigns?

Cool. That would make the Raise Dead spells actually more like Super Cure Spells. You could simply say that the time someone can spend in this comatose state is equal to their HD (instead of the cleric's CL). This would work well in SF campaign, if you included something like Hiberzine (from...

    Dark*Matter: Discovery, The Chicago Ripper

I've got a bad feeling about this. In alow whisper, he tells Diego. "I'll take the door, you shoot whoever it is." Moving quickly, Larry scuttles towards the door, barreling forward in an attempt to bash through.* If the door opens outwards, Larry won't try to bash through. He'll instead try...

    Dark*Matter: Discovery, The Chicago Ripper

Larry had been keeping an eye out while Diego checked the doors. He was about to mention that he could jimmy the lock when he heard the gunshot. Looking around the garden, he leaps behind whatever cover he can find, taking a bead on the doorway with his gun. "FBI, come out with your hands in the...

That's nice. I think I'll use it. :D Heh. I just realized I forgot to put a smiley in my post. I wasn't trying to start anything. :)

Is RAISE DEAD (etc.) too readily available in most D&D campaigns?

Count me as well. I send my PCs on a lot of church sponsored missions, and one of the understandings is that they'll bring the heroes back (as long as they provide the material components). That probably makes me a terrible world builder and also means that I'm having bad-wrong fun. At least to...

    Dark*Matter: Discovery, The Chicago Ripper

Some of the spanish he'd picked up in juvee came back. "No te preocupes, mano. He'll never know who sent us. Now we really got to go Diego, or the Jefe is gonna get pissed." After saying farewell to Diez, Larry leaves the bar and phones Cade, still careful to keep his cover. "We got an adress on...

    Frostburn campaign freewrite

You also have the interesting picture of local barons emerging, trying to consolidate the power of their settlements. The new king would look for centralized power, while these barons would prefer a more autonomus relationship. I can see a lot of potential for the PCs, either as troubleshooters...
