    Ninja: Ki Controllers

There, fixed some of the stuff brought up by the gentleman with the hot head. Thanks for your comments. I'll have some new stuff up tomorrow or the day after, we'll see how work and DMing treat me.

    Ninja: Ki Controllers

Yes they can, that's what they're designed for. Take a look at the Wizard's powers, especially the ones that redesign terrain. Those are meant for one thing and one thing only: affecting multiple people. Controller! Seems to fit the role to me. Only because of the extremely low hit points. A...

    Ninja: Ki Controllers

Fixed some of the stuff, added skills, surges, and an encounter power. If you can't tell this is going to be more of a melee wizard-ish feel. I'll just keep editing the beginning post, and posting the updates to "bump" the thread. Lemme know what you think!

    Ninja: Ki Controllers

I respectfully disagree. I have a few reasons why. A) I have never seen ninjas take on fewer than three people. They're trained to take on as many people as needed, hence the whirling strikes and the other stuff. B) A melee controller class is NOT equal to fail. Did you read anything I put up...

    Ninja: Ki Controllers

Alright, I was thinking, and just to see if how it would work I made up the basic stuff for a Ninja class. I haven't gotten very far, but I was wanting some feedback. Ninja: Role: Controller. You affect large groups of foes all at once. HP: 10+Constitution HP Gained: 4 Surges a Day:6+Con...

    Grid Board?

Hhhhm... I like that idea. Certainly beat Dungeon Tiles. Thanks!

    Grid Board?

Ballpoint pen, eh? I'm still looking for something that I don't have to screw up myself...

    Grid Board?

Quick question: I would like to buy a dry erase board with a grid on it. I made one, but I found out that when Sharpie means permanent they mean permanent on paper, not dry erase boards. I had seen a grid board for about forty bucks before, but now I can't remember the site name. Little help...

How has the 4e/3e schism affected you?

It's had some effect on me. Out of the three people I play with: One is enthusiastic about it as much as I am. He's gotten tired of 3E's broken-ness, and wants fun higher level play too. One was not an enthusiast but very quickly became one, but only because the combat's better. And the last...

    New Multiclass Feat Rules

I have to respectfully disagree. People are oppurtunists usually. If an option looks better, they're really gonna take it.

    Nephilim (my own take)

I would suggest against the flight in the race. Wizards removed most flight for a reason, and I hope they keep it that way. Perhaps something like this: Unhindered Moment With a flash you see things as they truly are, malleable and easily circumvented. Encounter Minor Action, Personal...

    Loss of imagination

Do you honestly need the Core Rule Books to do everything for you?

    D&D 4E Two Handed Weapons in 4e

Yep. That was the first rule changed in 4th for me. It's double the Strength mod for my group.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Alright, I don't have the books, take what I say with a grain of salt. #1 This has been addressed SO many times, I won't even go into it. I suggest everyone who has a problem read the previous explanations. But I will add this. Have your characters narrate their own stuff, and have THEM come up...

D&D 4E (Poll for those buying 4ed only!) How old are you?

Dang. I feel like a young'n. 14 if you ask people who know me, 20 to everyone else. I started at 16, playing on the tail end of 3rd, and moving very quickly into 3.5 when I saw how much better it was. I have my books ordered, and I can't wait. And I agree, MMO's suck. Badly.

    The big deal about grapple

They had already talked about that. It's Str or Dex (can't remember which) vs. Ref. No attacks of oppurtunity mentioned from what I can remember. If someone could back up my source on that one, that would be appreciated.

    When did you enjoy 3.x?

I'll admit that I wanted to hear it from the game designers that 3rd sucked.. 3rd didn't fit my style of play until Tome of Battle, so I'll admit that I wanted to hear it from someone besides myself. There, that wasn't too hard. ;)

    When did you enjoy 3.x?

What did I like about 3.x? Ironically enough Tome of Battle. I've never been a fan of wizards, or even true fantasy. What I DO like, however, are kung fu movies, with the fancy fights and the beautiful moves. So my descritpions of my moves have always been rather flashy. The problem is that when...

    Excerpt: Economies [merged]

Remember that bandits are a CR 1. As long as the merchants stay on the road all they're dealing with is bandits. I think we can allow a shrewd merchant ways of repelling them. As they mentioned merchants have guards for their trains as well. Heck, your guys might be hired by them! This isn't...

D&D 4E 4E Demo Impression...Yet Another One With Attempt At Humor

Hhhhhhm... sounds like I'm starting where you did. My girlfriend is a huge geek. She likes Star Wars, enjoys Firefly even more (thankfully), and has developed a taste for Zelda, and even plays Smash Bros. Brawl with the guys sometimes. But she wouldn't touch DnD. She saw the amount of work I...
