    D&D 5E (2014) Fighters are amazing!

    Danzig is a Dwarven Barlock.

    D&D 5E (2014) Fighters are amazing!

He can't be Danzig until he tells the party to "get the f**k out" after 9 levels, everybody thinking he's their friend.

D&D 5E (2014) The woes of the elf and his longsword

Unless an enemy takes it, same as happened to Gruumsh.

    D&D 5E (2014) Fighters are amazing!

I'm glad to hear all this. In previous editions, I always played Fighter just as a sort of protest, but now it sounds like when I finally make one, he'll actually be worth a damn.

D&D 5E (2014) The woes of the elf and his longsword

This isn't related to anything, but I have a Wood Elf Barbarian, who I pictured as a mixture between Native American and Norse/Viking/Whatever Else(I was heavily inspired by the movie 'Pathfinder', no relation to the game.), and his strength AND Dex are both 15. He has ten javelins, two...

D&D 5E (2014) (Phandalin) When Keep on the Borderlands turns into Tombstone...

If you want a much different playing experience, make them watch Wyatt Earp before your next game.

All I know is I want a Buster Sword.

D&D 5E (2014) The woes of the elf and his longsword

Yes, petty humans did do that. But you would think that the average Elf would be smarter than that.

D&D 5E (2014) You Are Entering A World...Of Elven Trance. (Nns nns nns nns nns!)

So under the rules for Elven Trance, it says that Elves can go into Trance instead of falling asleep, and then it gives you all the rules for Trancing. Based on the wording, can my Elven Barbarian choose to sleep instead of Trance? Or is he just Edward Norton from Fight Club, where it's not...

    D&D 5E (2014) Easter Eggs in 5E

I can't quote any specific pages, but there's a lot of Star Wars quotes buried in the PHB. Like, little ones.

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlocks seem pointless

You can't sleep without resting, but you can rest without sleeping. The two are separate, even if dividing them is extremely difficult.

D&D 5E (2014) The woes of the elf and his longsword

I agree with every thing you said, except: Lol, what? It's a sword. Really, it's just a dueling sword, and considered a very, very brilliant weapon if you're in an unarmored fight against someone. Why would the Elves not use a useful tool, simply on the grounds that some douchebags over there...

D&D 5E (2014) Can characters give themselves Horrible Scar?

Hey man, you don't know that. Maybe he was just shy.

D&D 5E (2014) Handling specific moves in combat (disarm, attacking weapons)

Well historically, weapons weren't really made out of butter or pinatas. A good quarterstaff can probably take a few solid whacks from a weapon and be alright. Really, it's more likely that it would be knocked out of the person's hands rather than it just breaking outright. And other, sturdier...

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlocks seem pointless

"Oh my god, you must be that Drow assassin." "Goddammit Phil, I'm the milk man. My son's dating your daughter!" ------------ "What are you doing in my home, assassin? Is the Underdark that cowardly?!" "Jimmy, I'm your father for cripes sake! And did you say Underdark?! Oh my god!"...

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlocks seem pointless

It must be hard for a Drow to be an assassin, if you think about how many people just expect you to be an assassin anyway. Good luck to that guy.

D&D 5E (2014) Can characters give themselves Horrible Scar?

Yeah sure. Become the Joker, go hog wild with it. EDIT: I gotta say, though, it seems like it would be more fun to have it happen during the course of a battle. More of a story that way. If it's self inflicted, it doesn't feel like it has the same impact. But, that's just my very subjective...

    D&D 5E (2014) O Plate Mail, Where art Thou?

Well no, because light armor wearers generally aren't trying to obtain the heaviest armor they can.

    D&D 5E (2014) Warlocks seem pointless

I wanna say, thanks to this thread, I've made my first Warlock tonight. We cut off before combat, but he's already so much fun, and I'm absolutely gonna go with Blade Pact. The character is awesome. He's like a mix between main characters from the Assassin's Creed games, and Jaime Lannister...
