    Haste/Slow?

1)effects overlaping not stacking 2)same as need x on a d20 to hit. both =ease of play. Have the effects of a spell change #1 muddies water unesecarliy and breaks spirit of d20 and ease of play. Would be same as having in text of a monster in order to hit it pc must role under a certain number...

    Haste/Slow?

I never saw it as a house rule actualy even though in retrospect I see it would be concidered one. Just d20 as a system makes sense. With rules like similar effects overlaping not stacking. If some one then in the desciption of a spell breaks this rule the ease of play of d20 goes out the...

    Haste/Slow?

If so then yes as counterspelling is its own set of rules. As long as it is specifical a counterspell action. Using the same spell as a counterspell to the original yes. EDIT: I have never seen someone use the same spell to counterspell so I am foggy on how this works. I have seen it doen with...

    Haste/Slow?

My interpretation of the question was what would your ruling be. Not what is the rule for this. So wether this is a house rule is not pertinant. That is unless the original poster was indeed lookign for the official ruling. If so I would have stated this is my house rule as opposed to my opinion.

    Haste/Slow?

Not sure I understand what you are asking. Can one stack 2 of the same spell? No unless specficaly stated by the spell. Would a mirror image coming in contact with another mirror image cancel each other? Hell no that makes no sense to me.

    Haste/Slow?

I can't think of any I have come across. If I did most likley I would rule the same. Temporarily nulify effect for duration of the new spell.

    Haste/Slow?

Oh I know I just think this is one of those things that wasn't fixed with 3e and is a stand over from 1e. In 3.5 I believe they fixed light canceling darkness but IMO the same holds true for hsate/slow. I don't think spells that have oposits should cancel one and other. That is what dispel...

    Haste/Slow?

Nope I'd rule 0 it. If light doesn't dispel darkness why should slow dispel haste. I say this an old byproduct of 1e not picked up in conversion. I believe in 1e this is how it worked. The spells canceled each other. Sorry spells of oposite efects shouldn't dispell the original spell just...

    Haste/Slow?

I on the other hand would say normal movement. Haste has a duration as does slow. When slow is cast on a hasted character it doesn't cancel it completely it just negates the effects of the haste for the duration of the slow. So if a higher level mage cast the haste eventualy the slow would wear...

    Invisibility target and 100 lb./level

Damn my early morning foggy brain and lack of playing in a long long time. You are correct the weight restriction should only be for an object. In other words: You can turn yourself invisible, you can turn your ogre buddy invisble but you can't turn a mountain invisible.

    Invisibility target and 100 lb./level

Well when you look at target you find half the answer. Target: the character or a creature or object weighing no more than 100 lb./level. Therefore if target is caster his/her wieght doesn't matter. Wieght matters only if cast on something/someone else. Personaly I would say the wieght includes...

I thought back stab was a full action?

not quite an enemy doesn't need to be denide dex bonus to ac to be sneak attacked. Now there are abilites like improved uncanny dodge that negate a flank sneak attack. However a rogue flanking an opotent even with fulla c can sneak attack as long as they are flanking said opponent.

I thought back stab was a full action?

    More accuratley it is both.

I thought back stab was a full action?

A backstab/sneak attack is not a full round action. Any time a rogue attacks an opontent from a flank is sneak attacking. A rogue can sneak attack with 2 weapons if he has a full round action left in a round eg takes a 5' step.
