I know that fiends and angels are common sights in Sigil, but I was wondering if Pit Fiends, Balors, Ultraloths, and Solars were. The cream of the crop of their respective races. I dont really see a reason why there wouldnt be some; it just seems like they'd be very rare sights. Any thoughts?

Got mine Sept. 2. What an amazing book. Done some skimming and I absolutely love what they've done to the Sorcerer and Wizard. Other classes look good too. Next stop, Bestiary!

I agree whole-heartedly. Frankly, im a pretty tough critic when it comes to MM's because they are my single favorite D&D book, in any edition. I can literally sit there and read the MM like its a novel, for hours on end. And doing so inspires me in a way that stale stat blocks could never do...

Im looking for a nice mix of the two. Your right about MM1: it was extremely sparse on fluff, one might even say barren. MM2 was a step in the right direction (it did have a little more), but didnt go far enough imo. A good description of the monster, where it typically lives, its temperment...

This would be a nice start. I like this. Well, I agree about the tactical advice. Thats always good. I disagree (clearly haha) about the fluff, especially since MM2 was what, like 60 pages shorter than MM1? Plenty of room for fluff at no expense of the monsters. Again, not asking for 2e...

Wow at that video. The book looks absolutely phenomenal. If all of the core books (Beastiary next, yes!) are of this quality, then gamers are in for a treat. Personal thanks to Paizo for making such wonderful quality (both in actual physical build, and the rules themselves) books.

Man im really digging the MM2 monsters so far. All of the monsters seem to be really tough encounters. I mean, that hydra, if it attacked the same pc with all 5 heads (not counting if it had more), would do 5d10+50 points of damage! More if that pc is a defender that has marked the hydra...
