From the new SRD: Monsters in the MM2

:D Yes, I too lament the absence of the kraken, and the Jabberwocky for that matter (burbling would be an awesome aura I tell you!), but nontheless I cant wait!

Behir, Barghest, Couatl, and Djinn made my day :) Buying this day 1.

    Toughest critter in 4e

Yeah, I mean, compare the Tarrasque with say, Baphomet (lvl 28 solo brute) and the difference is immediately apparent. @Wik: Hobgoblins are some of my favorite monsters to run in 4th. Love em.

    Toughest critter in 4e

Hmmmm....this is the opposite of what the thread is about, but what the hell: does anyone else think that the Tarrasque is horribly underpowered in terms of damage output? It seems pretty pathetic for a level 30 solo brute.

    Toughest critter in 4e

No offense taken. :) It's true that the DM has control over when and where (and by whom) the PC's are attacked; however, some monsters, no matter where they are, and when they attack, are just plain hellish. Sometimes it's easy to tell from looking at a stat block; other times the monster...

    Toughest critter in 4e

This is what the Gibbering Orb does with its gibbering ability, except that it's a close burst 10, and a free action instead of an aura. Pretty nasty. I agree that you need to be carefull about throwing wraiths at a unprepared party.

Yes indeed. Have you had em kill any characters before?

    Toughest critter in 4e

Lol, yeah Deathjump spiders are brutal; really, if the dm isnt careful, a group of them could fairly easily TPK the pcs  You know, ive never run them or honestly paid much them much mind; thier nasty in play?

    Toughest critter in 4e

Just curious as to what people think it is. And bear in mind that im not talking about most hit points, or highest defences. A knee jerk reaction would be to shout Tiamat, or Vecna; they may very well be. But there are other monsters out there that for thier level are very tricky/hard to...

    Demogorgon: Lame or Awesome?

Methinks that as well.;) Of course, we're probably wrong and he's laughing at us from in front of his monitor right now:D

    Demogorgon: Lame or Awesome?

Dude, that sucks. Hopefully, someone from WotC has taken your ideas to heart and we'll see him introduced into 4E someday....hope springs eternal, right? And yes, im officially jealous of your super secret book info...;) And while your here (so to speak lol), I wanted to praise you on your...

    Demogorgon: Lame or Awesome?

Project name censored huh?! Grrrr....lol. By the way, since he's been mentioned a few times throughout the thread, im curious as to what level and role you'd place Anthraxus at? And do you think we'll ever see him officially stated in 4th Ed.?

    Demogorgon: Lame or Awesome?

Ari, have you seen, or did you have anything to do with, the Demogorgon stat block? Not asking for any specifics if you have or did, just curious.

    Demogorgon: Lame or Awesome?

Demogorgon is completely awesome, yes. Cant wait to see his stats. Anthraxus is my favorite fiend, and I would love to see him stated in 4th Ed.

    Hasbro 4th Quarter Report

To be sure, I know that there is no reason to hope for a legit D&D movie (read: not Uwe Boll quality or worse). I just said what I thought would help it escape said ghetto. And uh, while Wrath of the Dragon God might not be the worst thing I've ever seen, it's still pretty horrible. :erm:

I just threw up in my mouth a little.

    Hasbro 4th Quarter Report

Ug, just no. A D&D movie dosent have to be campy, or have to fail. It depends on the talent directing it, acting in it, and writing it. Protip: DO NOT put Dungeons and Dragons in the title, anywhere. If your making The Crystal Shard (great idea), then call it The Crystal Shard. Not...

Forked Thread: DDI Subscribers: Are you satisfied with your subscription?

I still spend a ton on physical books because I love the dead tree format. DDI is awesome, but I tend to absorb the info easier when im laying in bed reading through a book.
