Which "X Series" adventures have you played or ran?

X2 and X3 for me. X2 was mega-fun, but X3 was merely "ok." I really, really, really wanted to play the Desert Nomads series, and other ones like Quagmire because as I learned later on, they're really exploratory modules that build on the default world map and I thought that was really cool.

"Run as Written" or "Adapt as Desired"

I had cut my module teeth on B1: In Search of the Unknown, wherein you place an assortment of monsters and treasures to various rooms. I had a lot of fun with that one, adding extra effects and motivations for the monsters to be there (often in the middle of doing things, such as the kobolds...

The night, what we lack in this modern world.

The night sky is one of the things I look forward to when I go backpacking. One night was a clear sky with the full moon on Mount Olympus in Olympic National Park. I had never experienced a moon that...powerful before. At first I thought it was the ranger making his rounds and shining a...

    Cool, consider yourself emailed.

I made my PCs into action figures!

If something like that happened in a game I was playing in, Seattle would be a crater from the thermonuclear explosion that would occur from my head exploding in sheer delight.

Which other "basic" adventures have you played or ran?

Never got to play in any of these adventures, and that's a right damn shame.

Do you mix high fantasy and sci-fi?

I think from now on I will have to call Skeletor "Esqueleto." I don't mind it at all. Many of the "fantasy genre" stories I've read are a mix anyways. Do I run games like that, however? No. Why? Never bothered to, I suppose.

    [Alternity]Anyone Still Playing?

I think I have everything for Star*Drive, but never ran it.

Which "B Series" adventures have you played or ran?

Journey to the Rock was mostly unmemorable. I don't really remember much out of it, other than being taken prisoner by harpies, then our imprisoned character pummeling the hell out of one of 'em when she made the mistake of getting too close to our cage. Heh, heh, heh... Castle Caldwell we...

Who Do You Want Illustrating 4th Ed.?

To me, that picture says D&F'nD. I think, looking through the gallery, that his strength lies with landscapes rather than characters though. But for me, much of D&D was about the mythic vistas for the characters to explore. He should be on the starting lineup, definitely.

Which "B Series" adventures have you played or ran?

Ran B1 In Search of the Unknown and played and ran B2 Keep On the Borderlands. Also played were: The Lost City Rahasia Castle Caldwell and Beyond Palace of the Silver Princess Horror On the Hill Journey to the Rock

Which of the following early D&D adventures did you play in?

That is interesting, though now I have a real hankering to run the Lendore series. Town, dungeon, wilderness adventures, political intrigue, this baby has it all. :)

What if Japan was a D&D nation?

No, not really not through their whole history, and not the historical period me and the OP were speaking about.

Classic Dungeons: all of them to exist in the new edition

No, just that those modules allowed the DM to make those assumptions and decide how they would work out rather than the module writer do it for you. You'd usually get, sometimes, a villain, a name, why they're doing what they're doing, and you'd take it from there. As a DM those can be quite fun...

Classic Dungeons: all of them to exist in the new edition

I'd get a mix, and I'm six of one, half-dozen of the other myself. Maybe it's too much Morrowind* for me. *Oh noes! Video games!
