[Spoilers] Help with a campaign arc idea.

I'd like that idea best, but one of my players basically wanted an end to the story. Perhaps I can indeed just finish P2 and they all live happily ever after.

[Spoilers] Help with a campaign arc idea.

Ok. My players aren't really people who explore the area or look for things to do, so I kind of have to railroad them for them to do anything. Its annoying for me too. However, I'll keep in mind the repeated failures. Maybe I'll do it only once, because I do like the idea of her being an...

[Spoilers] Help with a campaign arc idea.

So, me and some friends play DnD. I used to DM, but got kind of burned out on that a while back, so I'm playing a char now in one of their campaigns. However, I'd like to finish up the story I had, but I'm kind of stuck. The players are level 14. They are a Paladin (Bahamut, Hospitaler), Ranger...

Big combats take too much time for us.

Now that's solid advice. I might need to get better at reskinning though. I have MM1 and 2 but it's still hard to find the monster I want. I do know how to quickly level up or down a given monster.

I did that, but the Fighter and Warlord did not want to control any NPCs. Struck me as odd. For the past weeks I've been creating encounters that play to a single characters strengths and last week it was the Warlord's turn. He should be be just the guy to lead people onto the battlefield, but...

Big combats take too much time for us.

I guess I used them in too small a room. I think it was an 10x7 room or something of that size. I had eight minions and I think 6 didn't survive the first round. Good tips though :)

Big combats take too much time for us.

Those are good ideas. I had the Ranger do the crossbow combat rolls (since he was commanding them, and that player is very quick with dice). The Paladin did the 2 sword and boards. He's not as fast as the Ranger-player but does come close. Since they were ordering the guards around, I couldn't...

Big combats take too much time for us.

So, my players found out about some bandits hiding in a nearby nearly ruined keep. They cleared the place. Since they took a few extended rests during it, the town who sent them sent 6 guards after them to check. Anyway, the guards stumble into 2 returning bandit patrols (and their leader) and...
