    Lodging

Eh, it will be a house full of people (6 adults other than Liz and I, plus two munchkins), but we'll manage. We've plenty of couches, and access to air mattresses and the like, so it will be like one big slumber party.

    Lodging

I'm about filled up at my house (actually, I'm reasonably sure I'm overbooked), but I know we've got a couple of folks hoping to come in, assuming they can find a cheap, non-lethal hotel in a non-combat zone area, or better yet, crash space. If you've got any thoughts or ideas (or extra crash...

    Group Dinner - Saturday Night

OK, based on the late RSVP's and folks whose plans are still floating in the Ether, we've booked a reservation for 50 folks. We'll be at two 25-top tables in "the Pit" (the central area of the restaurant), meaning two long rows with chairs on either side of the big rows. Management at Cap City...

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

Oh, excellent. Like PKB, I've read thru DRYH (and DLYM), but have yet to actually play.

You're fine -- we always overestimate.

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

QuinnHarlech has run ToC games at DCGD before -- perhaps the Great Old Ones could be invoked to persuade him... who dares?

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

Eh, I'd keep your ideas simmering on the back burner at the very least -- we always have games dropped or people who can't make it. Be prepared! :)

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

I cannot disagree with any of this. Right now, I'm mulling a change of the system from S7S over to Lady Blackbird -- failing that, I'll be tweaking the S7S characters a bit, prepping a cheatsheet/aid for players, and definitely running it at least once, possibly twice.

    Group Dinner - Saturday Night

I do miss the Circus Ninjas. I'd even be willing to pick up as GM where Quinn left off for the next tier of WFRP3 just to bring 'em back! :)

No, really. You'd be surprised how wrong you are.

    DC Gameday VII -- October 9th and 10th, 2010

Based on last year's attendance, and doing a rough on-the-napkin calculation based on what I've read here, we'll be running close and snug to capacity in the smaller conference room -- assuming 6 games of 6 each, with 6 GMs, that's 42 peeps per session accommodated, and last year we were in the...

Actually, contrary to popular belief, this *does* get old.

Pimp it early, pimp it often! :) And it will be fantastic to have you there -- maybe this time, we'll actually get a chance to chat!

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

A brief digression: If you do ever want to shop around a bit for another rules-light system, you'd definitely dig on the Barbarians of Lemuria book, which is the basis for the Dogs of War supplement Sam mentions -- I've considered running it just for kicks, as it's pretty sweet and hits the same...

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

Actually, it's early yet in the planning, but the "indie" games tend to be in the minority -- I use quotes on that, simply because I want to avoid the often frequent definitions and generalizations debate that arises when that term (or "story game") gets tossed around. In any event, I think...

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

I'm mulling over a kids-focused session myself, either running Dread House or "Happy Birthday, Robot!", depending on the kids that show up (or how many adults are interested in being kids again and playing these games, since they're both excellently suited for that as well).

Whatcha gonna run? Whatcha wanna play?

I'm thinking about hosting/facilitating a Fiasco session. Might run the Princess Bride 2 game, now that RI's broken the curse on it -- might stick with S7S with it, or convert it to Lady Blackbird. Might kickoff a serial arc of Victorian-era supers, using The Kerberos Club setting that just came...
