    Persistent Spell Errata and FAQ

I must admit that this is probably the first time I've ever heard this sentiment. Though I'm told that the FR mechanics are getting better nowadays.

What do you do when players don't show?

I have to admit that I have been blessed with characters who welcome death, and think that risk is a lot of fun.

How well do you have to know a game to run it?

Personally? Very well. I have run a game before without knowing about the intimate details, and... well, everyone had fun, and admittedly that is a good measure for whether a good job was done. But I also think that not knowing what's going on ultimately results in less total fun than could...

Races of Eberron *Update - Couple of folks have it - Ask questions here*

It honestly isn't worth taking in terms of making a really effective character, so I'm not sure what BelenUmeria is upset about. The only way in which taking all three levels would be desirable would be, I think, if you wanted to take a bunch of feats that had some restriction that required...

    EXEXCRUCIATION - a Noblilis PbP

Alyra tilts her head, as she has a habit of doing. "You want to kill us and our Imperatrix, eh? Isn't this the part where you're supposed to explain to us why you hate us and thereby have devised some sort of evil plan before you kill us?" So, question. What miraculous powers do work? I...

What do you do when players don't show?

I've been trying to convince my group to play Ninja Burger on the off-weeks, but they are always very "Give me D&D or give me death!" So.

What do you do when players don't show?

I meant in D&D lore, not in the RAW or anything. This is not unlike how there's a bunch of this Orcus lore, which is conveniently left unaddressed in Manual of the Planes.

What do you do when players don't show?

From the Great Modron March adventure Camp Followers, in which the PCs are caught in a rogue summoning spell on accident and are pulled to the Abyss to serve a powerful wizard until the spell duration wears off: "It's an ordinary day until something slams into your backs with the force of an...

    The D&D site

Um. How about a large compendium of pregenerated characters, modular encounters, adventure paths, and that kind of thing? D&D is not conducive to putting together a game on short notice, and it'd be nice to have a site that would assist with that. Unless you meant something else entirely.

What do you do when players don't show?

...the scary part is, that's almost exactly what happens, I seem to remember, if you get caught in a Summoning spell and pulled onto another plane to serve someone...

The Carrying Capacity of an Elven Backside: A moral tale.

Oh my God, this is so wrong. ...at least it wasn't a bag of devouring.

What do you do when players don't show?

This is actually why I recollected the pregenerated characters -- so that next time I can hand them out again to whoever's there, and those who were there at the last Emergency Playing Session can give them the story so far.

What do you do when players don't show?

So last night I met my players fully expecting to run my usual Eberron game, which has been going surprisingly smoothly, before I unexpectedly was told that one of my players was missing the session because she was at work, and the other said she needed to do homework. Which left me with four...

Respectively: Shift as an immediate action, fight without penalty when disabled or dying if shifting, and gain bonuses on various WIS-based awareness checks (Listen/Spot/Sense Motive) as well as initiative. Respectively: Bonus to AC and Reflex while shifting for Dex-increase shifters...

Races of Eberron *Update - Couple of folks have it - Ask questions here*

None. It's abstract -- you have a powerful bestial spirit that is an extension of your lycanthropic heritage, but there aren't different "kinds." In short: You fly and you swim. In other words, you gain fly and swim speeds. The feats let you... fly and swim faster. Truedive also lets you...

    The Mighty Bow... sort of...

Sure it can. Be DR'd, I mean. Try psychokinetic, which does only 1d4 damage but automatically penetrates all DR. Exit wound doesn't work on undead, I notice. But it's good for making a tactical archer, as opposed to the do-as-much-damage-as-possible archer.

    Karmic Strike: Undefeatable.......?

It's good, but it's not that good. Now, combine it with Deft Opportunist and that one feat that lets you take a five-foot step every time you make an AoO, and that strikes me as potent. Getting a chance to do damage to your opponent every time they damage you in melee is good, but stepping...

    Gaming and orgies don't mix

I feel I should mention that "polyamory" isn't necessarily synonymous with "open relationship" or, in fact, even a necessarily sexual relationship. It just deconstructs the common notion, "You can only love and be faithful to one person at a time," and in fact I would say that if a third person...
