    Calculating EL's

Better yet, use your browser to "save as". The Encounter Calculator is a stand alone html page. Then you can use it even when not connected to the net.

    Judges Guild Stuff?

Don't know of any JG stuff converted on the net *yet*. You might want to ask on the Necromancer Games boards though http://pub123.ezboard.com/bnecromancergames Necromancer aquired the rights to all the JG fantasy material and is planning on converting it to D20. Wilderlands and CSIO box sets...

What Kind of Computer Programs would you like to see created for DnD?

I gotta agree with Hand of Evil. What I would like to see is something to help me author a adventure to play at the table (the original MasterTools concept). I have zero interest in using a PC in-game. Doubt if I ever will take a laptop to a game, let alone actually try to use one during it...

    Pre-order eTools at SVGames

Well it looks like you will be able to pre-order eTools real soon from SVGames http://www.svgames.com/wtc12006.html They say that pre-orders will start July 22nd (today) and eTools will ship early August. Didn't see a way to "add to cart" yet though. Price is $29.95 and the site says "Limited...

    WOTC's 3-5 year plan

3 - 5 years out. *putting on my hat of Humble Opinion* First and foremost, sell Core Rule Books. All the R&D and production is done and paid for. Sell lots of them. Probably at least one followup to D20 Modern of some sort. Milk FR for a bit longer, but it's days are numbered. The New...

What world should I run? Hunt, K of K or SL?

Jumping in late here :) Since you are an old 1E'er and have not only run a Homebrew in the past but it sounds like you are planning on straying a bit from "Core" 3E I have a suggestion. Around the first of the year the Judges Guild Wilderlands is going to be released as a box set. Along with...

What should happen to the Forgotten Realms campaign setting?

My vote was for cancelling the setting. But they might as well milk the cow for all she is worth first. I am sure the FR fans will buy a lot more expensive books before they become disillusioned. No sense wasting a good cash cow.

    Forgotten Rums....? Evil Overlords...?

Yeah, most seemed to have forgotten that TSR was run by bean counters ever since Gary was kicked out. And dumb bean counters at that. And that is why I have no fears about the future of D&D, The Realms may go the way of Dark Sun, Ravenloft, Spelljammer and the others but D&D will always...

    Forgotten Rums....? Evil Overlords...?

I give the Realms less than 5 years before it goes away as a published setting. Once the "new" campaign setting gets up and running (should take about 2 years) the Realms will just fade away. I can't see Wotc publishing more than one major setting at a time. It is possible that the TV show or...

    Forgotten Rums....? Evil Overlords...?

You know what? I bought the FRCS, Monsters of Fareun and Magic of Fareun. I didn't buy Lords of Darkness or faiths & Pantheons and don't plan on buying Silver Marches. Why? I don't play in the Realms! These books have so little value to me over the more "crunchy" ones like the FRCS. I don't...

Fluid site up, E-Tools Screenshots available

MSRP is $29.95 for E-Tools (not the $50 the original Master Tools was projected to cost). This means that you should be able to find it at a place that discounts for around $25. And to me $25 is definetly worth not having to put up with the inconvenience of PCGen any day. :)

Stay just the same. Eric Noah is doing a great job and I would hate to see the site change any. :)

What are you getting for July?

E-Tools That and Bard's Gate (if it comes out in July) but E-Tools is the big one for me this month, all the rest can wait.

    Monster Stat block generators

Several places to look. Check the ENWorld Electronic Aids off of the main page. http://www.enworld.org/3eelectronic.htm Here is a link to a rtf file that contains stat blocks of all the monsters in the SRD. This is a great help for cut-n-pasting. The only things it is missing is the HP's and...

    Blackmoor 3rd ed?

I would rather see the old First Fantasy Campaign updated to D20 rather than the DA series of modules. I never did understand why they decided to shoehorn Blackmoor into Mystara in the first place. If he was going to redo Blackmoor he might as well start with the original setting.

    Nothing to see here...move along.

You know if they were doing something original you would have a point. But they aren't. They are copying portions of something made by TSR, the rights of which are now owned by Wotc. They are trading on the Trademarked names and copyrighted writings of someone else. And they are planning on...

NWN Conversions of existing modules - big "No-No"

Except for the little fact that NWW is neither D20 nor OGL. :) Open Game Content can only be re-used under the terms of those liscenses. Just because something is OGC does *not* mean that it can used like Public Domain. So legally the only modules that could be done into mods and distributes...

Are companies start to convert their modules to NWN formats?

Not every company will make NWW modules based on their products or even agree them being shared on the Internet. Below is a post by Clark Peterson of Necromancer Games from the NG messageboards. http://pub123.ezboard.com/fnecromancergamesfrm9.showMessage?topicID=374.topic As some people are...
