    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Sorry for coming in this late, but let me put in some words. About Senegal vs. France. Greatest upset ever? Puh-leeze! Just a few that would easily rank over it: 1 - Brasil (at home) losing to Uruguay in 1950 final; 2 - Hungary losing to Germany in 1954 final; 3 - Netherlands losing to...

    Roman armor/weapons sites for 3E?

Granted. The Segmentata is clearly not a full suit, but only a Plastron de Fer .

    Roman armor/weapons sites for 3E?

Additionaly, the Spatha was a Long Sword (mainly used by auxiliary corps. The Hasta was the equivalent of a Shortspear. I believe the Pilum to be a Javelin, as mmadsen said. Contrary to mmadsen, I'd rule Lorica Segmentata to be Banded Mail, since the Lorica was the basis for the Banded armor.

    vitality/wound points in DnD

Re: My system... Just a question. Does the damage dealt by the weapon remain effective? I mean, in the first situation you describe above, does the critical hit ONLY inflict WP damage or does the normal damage to VP also apply?

    vitality/wound points in DnD

Use it at your own risk. Things to be noted: 1 - Weapons with increased Threat Range (anything that threatens a critical at anything other than a 20) are MUCH more valuable when using VP/WP. 2 - The Feat Improved Critical is going to taken by EVERYONE. Its value is increased dramatically. 3 -...

VH1 presents: What ever happened to?

Al-Qadim was one of Grubb's masterpieces...really loved it. Didn't like the MotP that much though, since I am a Planescape fan....

Standard Characters and Power Levels in The D&D Campaign

I really want to know something. Is there any LIVING opposition to the Vallorean Empire? With soldiers like that, I figure all opposition must have been crushed a long time ago, unless the rest of the world is similarly on steroids... :D

    Strange anomaly on D&Dg?

    Strange anomaly on D&Dg?

Actually, it's not within the book itself, but on its cover. I don't know if this is a flaw at all, that's why I am posting here. I recently bought D&Dg and discovered the following group of numbers printed on the cover, where usually stands the inscription WTCXXXXX (where XXXXX is the serial...

The Time of Troubles, please elaborate...

Nighttfall : I will get back to you on that board. Boy, I sure will! :D But it's 4 in the morning here, and I gotta sleep sometime in my life. Have already registered as a user there, and will certainly start posting. John : As for ideas for a ToT in Greyhawk, you could use the following...

The Time of Troubles, please elaborate...

Well, if I knew what Mortality was, I would certainly have a mind to visit it. Give me a link please... :)

The Time of Troubles, please elaborate...

Hum, I believe I should see Gaurak about this. I have so much in common with him...perhaps he would give me some neat chosen powers too... :D Too bad he is trapped.... :(

Oh, damn! Nighttfall beat me to it, and he even included Jimmy Hoffa! He does not even let us compete! :D

The Time of Troubles, please elaborate...

Re: Thank you all, but... Again, I do not have my sources here, but I will try to answer. Please note I have NOT read the books in question, only a great deal of info about the ToT in sourcebooks like Faiths & Avatars, etc... It all began as one of the evil gods, cannot remember which one (it...

The Time of Troubles, please elaborate...

I do not have the sources at hand, but I always understood it to happen just after the time of troubles. Shar supposedly took care to only act when confusion still had most of the realms in its grasp, and the death of a minor god would not be felt. Indeed, the worshippers of Ibrandul still...

That would be Iyachtu Xvim. And that would be Ibrandul.

    Which tome to procure...

Let me recommend Lords of Darkness. I believe it is a very high-quality product, with uses even outside the realms, with a little tweaking of course. The descriptions of each and every organization are deep and well thought-out, with boatloads of useful information. Magic of Faerûn is also...

Asmodeus ~ 2nd Ed. concept no longer relevant

Yep, sorry for misquoting. Must have been with something else in my mind. I don't actually have the sourcebook, only its prequel, the mega-adventure "The Great Modron March", where Orcus kills Primus, the One and the Prime, and assumes rulership of the Modron race for a while.

    Impressed with AEG's Rokugan books!

They certainly seem to devote a lot of their quality to the Rokugan books. I have the campaign setting, and intend to buy both Creatures and Magic of Rokugan. And I don't even like oriental settings! Being also the owner of Dragons, by the same company, I suffer from the same wishful thinking...

Asmodeus ~ 2nd Ed. concept no longer relevant

The main reason would be that Tiamat is FAR more interested in conquering the Prime Material Plane worlds, than she is in conquering the first layer of Baator.
