[Arcane Row - Venza]The Mystic Pearl

Chaucer makes his way into the Mystic Pearl. Seeing rows of items of all shapes and sizes he peruses the store for awhile. As he rounds a corner, he finds a shirt that sparkles brightly, and weighs almost nothing. Immediately he knows, a Mithral Chain Shirt, just what he was hoping to find...

    Bloodcove Disguise

Chaucer straightens up after talking to Raynucio, bows one more time, and sweeps out of the room. He heads through the city, in the direction of the Mystic Pearl, treating children with small tricks, and complimenting men and women alike as he goes. A sense of purpose, a sense of destiny even...

    The Sunken Temple

HolyMan - Nope, nothing ever got taken to the Mystic Pearl that I have seen at least. I could be wrong, but I definitely did not see it in there. So if it didn't get sold, I will go ahead and take the wand, and deduct the amount from my treasure right?

    The Sunken Temple

Walking Dad Hmmm... well I have no problem bringing Chaucer back here during the evening to recover the wand and then deduct it from his treasure... but that seems a bit shady... The only reason I ask is because we are lacking healing in another adventure and a wand + me are going to do our...

    Bloodcove Disguise

Thanks Aldern, I appreciate the assistance, I have been buried in the sewers so long I didn't even know the Mystic Pearl was developed... always a good thing to know that something like that exists lol. I am waiting on a ruling from the DM of my previous campaign, there was a wand that never...

    The Sunken Temple

Walking Dad - What was done with the loot? Did anyone in particular take it, if so who did? I would like to come back and buy the wand of CLW, but I don't know who has it or where it has gone off too... care to enlighten me? Or can I just claim it, and fill in the fluff in another thread?

    Bloodcove Disguise

Chaucer hears the deadline and nods, knowing he had the information he needed. He stays long enough to hear any other questions that are asked, and then stands, and with a bow says, My Lords, it has been an enlightening afternoon, and I am eager to embark on our journey, but as I said, I have a...

    Bloodcove Disguise

So stupid question... What are the mechanics for using a wand? I know that a UMD check of 20 can activate a wand (at least, I think it is a UMD check of 20...). But for a spellcaster like Chaucer, if I don't know the spell (CLW in this instance) can I still activate the wand without a UMD...

    Bloodcove Disguise

Chaucer's eyes light up as Frederick unwraps the key and lays it on the table. He continues listening to the Lord's words, but his eyes never leave the key. When the noble finishes his description of the attacks, Chaucer licks his lips, and gently asks, May I hold the key? As he reaches his...

    Bloodcove Disguise

Chaucer squirms at the mention of pirates but moves past it. As Frederick explains the role of Brunico, Chaucer bows his head and says, It is an honor to meet you Magister. Turning to Frederick, he asks the question that has aroused his curiosity and engaged his imagination all night. I have...

    Bloodcove Disguise

Chaucer walks through the gates to a stately Venzian Manor. He enjoys the short walk, and when the manor house comes into view he stops for a moment and sizes up the place. Nice, but I have seen better, like the Count Jokulna's summer home on the Eastern Coast... now that is a manner He says...

[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Chaucer bows his head slightly as Frederick hands him a piece of paper with an address on it. I shall see you then good sir. When Frederick departs, Chaucer turns to his companions and listens to Raynucio's introduction. Well met Raynucio, I am Chaucer Tarsi, as I said earlier, and I think...

[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Chaucer nods to Aradra as he goes to exam the man's note that was posted and then heads off to the back room. Shaking his head, he mutters to the barkeep, Sometimes, I wish I could just find a place to settle down and tell stories. Unfortunately, telling stories rarely pays. Ahh Pond scum, I...

[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

With a small laugh, Chaucer sets down the red wine the waitress brought him and said, Walk, ha! I am lucky to be able to relieve myself. That overgrown maggot missed a couple of treasured possessions by mere finger widths. That is not an experience I wish to replicate my friend. Chaucer...

[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

Again the doors to the Dunn Wright swing open, but this time to admit a man moving slowly, favoring a leg that has no actual wound to it. As the doors close and his eyes adjust, Chaucer walks to the table with the red hand emblazoned upon its surface and greets Elros and Kanli, and then moves...

    The Sunken Temple

Sorry, life has been pretty busy this last week and a half or so... I assume this will be the wrap up post for me, but we shall see. Chaucer walks in a haze of pain leaning heavily on Brenic. He tries to hold the pressure on his wound, but He is slowly growing more and more tired. Turning to...

    The Sunken Temple

As Chaucer swings, he prepares to dodge the blow that is coming. He got frustrated, missing these squirmy villians by mere inches, so he brought his sword up above his head to destroy this beast. The minute he swung he knew it was a mistake as the amphibian saw it side stepped it, and had a...

    The Sunken Temple

Chaucer frustrated at his miss lifts his sword over his head and brings it down with a grunt.
