    D&D 5E (2014) How many fans want a 5E Warlord?

I see the fighter at sombody who is a master at personal combat. The warlord is more focused on fighting as a unit or group. A 5th edition might habe difrent powers then the 4th edition warlord did. One thing that comes to my mind is that flanking is not something that is standard in 5th...

    D&D 5E (2014) How many fans want a 5E Warlord?

That Is why I would sugest that the healing a warlord would do is to alouw characters to spend healing hitdice during combat instead of during a rest. This way It would not add a kind of healing that is not already in the game.

    D&D 5E (2014) Whack-a-mole gaming or being healed from 0 hp

I guess that is a difrence in play style I started playing during the ADnD 2nd day ad we used the optional -10 rule. In our games it has always been comon for creatures to kill their enemies as in a world where there is magical halong just knocking somebody out doesen't mean that person is...

    D&D 5E (2014) The Warlord [New Class]

there are also the ones that like the idea of a bard being a character that inspires, but don't like the pusical performer and arcane caster parts.

KaosDevice Do wizards have to learn a ritual version of a spell apart from the normally cast version or are they the same? ‏@JeremyECrawford Ritual versions of spells don't have to be learned separately from the spells

D&D 5E (2014) A WOTC 5e Warlord That Would Be Acceptable To Skeptics

If the warlord would have healing in any way I would sugest the following. If he healing is non magical it should not add healing to the system, instead, allouw the spending of healing hitdice during combat instead of just during rests. The warlord could use the ability at will, but a target...

    D&D 5E (2014) A Monster Making tool for 5e

One thing you could add that would be nice is if it would give a sugested CR based on the stats you enter, It would require cross refrencing certain stats with the table for calculating Cr in the DMG.

And the warlord and his npc minions would count as a unitl while they are adjacent to eachother, and other characters could decide to stay adjacent to them to also gain any benifits the unit might have.

    D&D 5E (2014) How many fans want a 5E Warlord?

Maybe we should re trace the steps of the history of the warlord class. It started with the Marshall in the minatures game that was more focussed on bigger mass combat. So maybe we should start with re introdusing the marshall, a class designed to be a comander in the mass combat rules WOTC...

D&D 5E (2014) A WOTC 5e Warlord That Would Be Acceptable To Skeptics

I liked the warlord in 4th edition but is you go back to the basics of what the warlord class sais it is being a battlefield comander there are some issues. When I think tactics I think things that often needs more bodies then the 4 to 6 person adventuring party, things like forming and holding...

Do you also feal the same way about the soldies background ( that has a military rank) and the noble that in many setting would be asumed to be in charge of the groups of civilans they are traveling with ?

    D&D 5E (2014) Whack-a-mole gaming or being healed from 0 hp

One thing you might want to try first is having creatures go out of their way to actualy kill players. remember atacks made from 5 feet away count as a crit, meaning 2 failed saving trows. If you do this there is a big chance character die before the healer has a chance to make them pop up again

D&D 5E (2014) Has anyone tried Negative HP = Con score = dead?

I sound there is one major thing that determins if the curent save death system is deadly or not. This is if monsters are aware of it and magical healing existing in the world. If creatures are aware that a enemy they knocked down can just get up again if healing is used, and becomes a treath...

I did notice a change on the WOTC forums when Dragon+ was introduced. Before Dreagon+ was introduced there would be a official post daying a new article was up, after Dragon+ was launched they stoped doing thse offical posts.

    D&D 5E (2014) How many fans want a 5E Warlord?

The warlord might be hard to capture in a fighter subclass if done to the extent warlord fans want. I almost start to think you should go fighter 2/ bard 2 then pick the warlord subclass for both, so you can have subclass options that play with the wider amount of recources given by the dual...

WOTC also has the Dragon+ app. And they have been pushing that app more and more as the place to go to get DnD information and updates. so closing the forum might just be part of moving to the dragon+ app as their main way to distribute DnD info.

‏@tcervo - I know it's not your doing, but shuttering the WotC forums is a horrible idea. So much great fan-created content will be lost. @MikeMearls unfortunately, it's a vicious cycle. forums aren't great for archiving info. the longer they're open, the worse the problem becomes @_FoxyBoxes_...
