D&D 5E (2024) One D&D Permanently Removes The Term 'Race'

This elfgame, the term doesn’t need to be scientificaly acurate. I like species because it tells imediately to the player what choice they are making in character creation.

D&D 5E (2024) One D&D Permanently Removes The Term 'Race'

I don’t know how big of a problem it is if an Eberron book could bring them there, withtou usong half-elf/orc and using their setting names.

I was trying to look for the kuo-toa/barren sea one yesterday and noticed it was gone in the same way, so I assume that’s what happened

D&D 5E (2014) Chronicles of Eberron Is Keith Baker's New D&D Book, out now!

A lot was deleted from keith’s blog, because this book is a deep dive in a lot of topics he has posted on his blog before. DM’s Guilds rules state that for a product to be available on the Guild it cannot be posted elsewhere, so keith kind of had to remove those from his blog I think.

All this is what Keith would do if he was going to put guns in eberron, that doesn’t mean guns exist in eberron. That picture is one of the bad pictures in rising. I don’t want to say people can’t put guns in Eberron, do whatever you think is fun, but they don’t exist in Eberron as of right now

I’ve liked this publisher’s material for years now. They are really great and get the right feel for eberron in the design

D&D General Fun Experiment: Post a cool bit of (mostly) unknown lore from your favorite setting (+)

In Eberron (by Kanon) the Kuo-Toa live half dreaming all the time, and because of that they experience both the material world and Dal-Quor (the plane of dreams) simultaneously. What other races may think is them being incoherent and mad most likelly is just them reacting to something happening...

It’s maybe a reach to call it post-apocalyptic, but the demon wastes in Eberron give me bid Dark Sun energy. And Riedra has my favourite takes on psionics.

D&D 5E (2014) Chronicles of Eberron Is Keith Baker's New D&D Book, out now!

@Scribe there are some places that are not focused in arcane magic. The eldeen reaches, as mentioned, uses primal magic as a tool for their civilization. The talenta plains use dinossaurs. Karnnath uses undead (with some arcane magic). The continent of sarlonna focuses a lot in psionics…

D&D 5E (2014) Chronicles of Eberron Is Keith Baker's New D&D Book, out now!

In my opinion, most of the noir vibe of Eberron is focused on sharn… A big city, sure, but still a city in comparison to the rest of the world.

Yeah, to me the best thing in the artificer is their use of any tool as a casting focus. That gives me SO MUCH room to reskin and reflavour things. A spell scroll based caster, using scribe tools, a runecrafter with stoneworking tools, a beverage brewer with brewing supplies…

Even the novels wrote by Keith, (that are excellent by the way) are considered canon. It’s my dream come true

Yeah, that one specifically is horrendous. But the worst “offender” for me is the goblin with a flintlock

D&D 5E (2014) Chronicles of Eberron Is Keith Baker's New D&D Book, out now!

Tasha’s doesn’t have the same restraints as an Eberron book. It’s purpose was to bring the artificer to the general d&d experience. So don’t assume that a image of an tashas artificer is an eberron image. One thing we didn’t talk about a lot about eberron but I think you will enjoy a lot is...

D&D 5E (2014) Chronicles of Eberron Is Keith Baker's New D&D Book, out now!

This was a very disputed art piece, exactly for that “totally not a gun” weapon. It was supposed to be the cover of the book, but the Eberron fandom cried lowd enough that they changed it and put it in the character creation chapter
