DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

May be true now, but it wasn't always: Marvel Heroic was available in PDF, for example.

DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

It would be very surprising if DCH wasn't already out there, pirated, in PDF, so that's still money on the table lost. But wouldn't be surprised if they see it that way.

Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

Actually, makes me wonder - that's a very famous photo, so might it be incorporated into the existing AI libraries? Which in turn would make AIs more likely to produce images with similar elements, which in turn might make it detect as AI...

DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

I suppose actually reproducing the entire line was a bit ambitious. Not complaining about a reprint of the core rules, though.

Well, that poster won't be here long.

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

Yep, that was the one I found, but was hoping for something easier to read (and less plainly biased). Thanks anyway!

DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

Cryptozoic has the license to produce the DC Deck-Building Game (as well as some other DC merchandise), which might mean they have general rights to DC tabletop products.

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

I would expect both settings to remain pretty static in the 5e era, with no further development... but agreed, will be interesting to see! (I expect much the same of the Realms, once those 2024-5e guidebooks come out next year.) The current official stance that the novels are their own canon...

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

I don't suppose you (or any other folks more expert in DL than me in this thread) could summarize the big-picture changes? I found this on the Dragonlance Nexus, but it's a bit difficult to parse (and also openly opinionated).

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

I'm taking them at their word, reinforced by how subsequent 5e products have been consistent with the policy. You are certainly welcome to interpret it otherwise!

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

Agreed! That's how canon works for a fictional property, and it's absolutely been applied to products since it was shared publicly (and likely before - see Ravenloft). Well, they seem to disagree...

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

To quote directly from the policy: So: 5e has its own distinct, separate canon from the other editions, which definitely includes the current core, but they don't confirm what is canon for 5e beyond that. Though odds are that in practice, new 5e stuff does replace old 5e stuff, as you say...

D&D General The Greyhawk Pantheon: How Greyhawk Approaches Deities (& Demigods)

Maybe one of Gygax's players came up with Rao? And/or someone at TSR.

It would also be great if this led to the DC Heroes material getting a PDF release. I don't know that I want to restock my limited shelves with all of the old stuff, but having it available in PDF for reference would be great.

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

Not according to Wizards' official canon policy. Which has been reflected in their treatment of Dragonlance lore in 5e - though Shadow of the Dragon Queen is much more compatible with older lore than, say, 5e Ravenloft. Likewise, the official policy separates novels and other media out as their...

D&D General The Greyhawk Pantheon: How Greyhawk Approaches Deities (& Demigods)

Yep, albeit a god of the sun rather than a god of peace. (Still always suspected the name was a shout-out, though.)

D&D General Did Dragonlance/Krynn exist in 4e canon?

Putting the above together, the five official incarnations of Krynn would theoretically include... Krynn-1: As presented in Dragonlance Adventures, and assorted 1e modules and sourcebooks. Krynn-2: As presented in Tales of the Lance, and assorted 2e sourcebooks and modules. Notably expanded to...

D&D General Did Greyhawk/Oerth exist in 4e canon?

So let's see, the five official incarnations of Oerth then would theoretically include... Oerth-1: As presented in the two World of Greyhawk sets, plus Greyhawk Adventures, and assorted 1e sourcebooks and modules. Oerth-2: As presented in From the Ashes, The Adventure Begins, and assorted 2e...

DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

Green Ronin did DC Adventures, which was a reskinned version of their Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition rules. Though M&M 3e definitely seemed to take some inspiration from DC Heroes, in certain changes from M&M 2e.

DC Heroes Role-Playing Game Gets New Reprint from Cryptozoic

Very cool. I wonder if it will include all three editions, or if they're going to focus on just one of them.
