i've been wondering if an Evoker (with a prohibited school of Conjuration) could, with the Craft Wonderous Item and Greater Shadow Conjuration spell, create Bracers of Armor ... if he CAN, i would imagine that the BoA would be 40% as effective as normal BoAs ... or, probably more likely, since...

Keeping in mind that these characters are presumably light sleepers, especially when camping in dangerous territory, it seems likely that they would be "alert" while getting rest. The -5 and -10 penalty to their listen checks makes perfect sense. After all, they're more effective fighters, magic...
