I AM HAPPY with what I've got. When 4E comes out, I'll give it a shot, but not now. 4E will not bring in "new gamers", it will not bring back "the old schoolers". If anything, it'll LOSE players who spent $, and possibly put the older gamers back in the shadows.

I've got them, loved them, and wore 'em out. But if it's a new player, I'd prefer the 3.0 or 3.5 basic set to teach. I go basic books with KOK, so crunch is not an issue.

I agree, good mod for the price and level of party. I LOVE Banewarrens also, but it's WAY too high for his party. To get there, how about the "Coin Trilogy" from Kenzer & Company. RP, combat and a certain "Lord of the Rings" feel about it. Starts at Level 1-3.

I'm feeling you, CarlZog. I buy books for systems I'll never play anymore. Partly because I'm a completist, partly because I love certain systems and love reading the books (Hackmaster, Call of Cthulhu).
