With d8, light armor, limited weapons options, a larger and more varied skill list, expertise, the ability to heal, a modified spell with a more limited number of spells known, more of a support role, sub-classes not based on the 8 schools of magic, and some other changes. Sure. I believe...

But yes, There IS something silly about the bard concept. just not silly to you because clearly you haven't had the same experiences. I get what everyone is saying about the bard. I get it LOUD AND CLEAR :) Bard doesn't Have to have an instrument or sing etc etc etc... But then WHY is he called...

Quick answer: I definitely don't LOL And I'm just being funny. Not trying to be rude. I get your point. I don't EVER ban a class from my players because I don't feel that is right, even if I hate how the Players portray the class.

I do too! We have one player who is maybe the worst roller ( most unlucky) in the History of D&D and we all make A joke of forcing him to roll the groups Random encounters! No matter How unlikely the encounter chance is he always seems to roll it and then roll the hardest possible creature!

I enjoy the Githyanki quite a bit. I would like to see more done with them Period but would really like to see the Gith as a Core race in some type of D&D world

Side Note: We haven't even discussed the LOGISTICS of feeding and Providing for the 40 bards. Imagine dealing with the needs of 40 Divas all running around in colord tights just complaining they are hungry or they need a Mount because they are tired of walking everywhere or they need a new Lute...

Only because it seems right so to speak. people are calm, can be enraptured by the performance, whereas if there is a huge fight going on it...
