I second that. But, in campaigns were I do use the HP system, I play fast and loose. HP loss always represents a hit, but it generally represents more of a bashing or wearing down of a creature more than outright damage.

Damion, I feel your pain, man. If you haven't done so already, Ebay is the way to go for this. Just make sure to include 'Lot Of' or something similar in your search field and you will likely get a return of dozens of combinations of minis to choose from.

I might have to resurrect this thread and add Beast of Burden from Dungeon (#101 I believe) to the list. Nothing like battling gnolls on top of a 175' tall extra-planar hound.

Unless it's quite obvious, I ask my players what they intend to do, but only in the most general terms. Are you going to the city? or are you staying in the dungeon? Beyond that, I don't try to guess. I just create npcs and let the game run itself.

Thanks! I let the players name this campaign, and that's what they came up with. At first I didn't care for it, but it's grown on me. There is almost a constant flow of barbs between the two of them. You'll see some of it in the next session.
