    The Jester's Deck

Like the jack of clubs idea, thanks, Id write more but Ive got to go now for the weekend. bye for now. Turned out I can get online anyway, but you don't need to know about that. Adding JimAdes idea for jack of clubs. And another to eight of hearts that allows the drawer to ask a higher power...

    The Jester's Deck

The Jester’s Deck “Do not try to play games with these cards, for they play games with you.” “Go on, pick a card, any card” Basicly this is an alternate lesser version of the deck of many things, which although can be used well in a campain, thats not very often done and we all know its...

    Clogged Combats

Im sure others have made "the rat cave" mistake; basicly giveing your players a hoard of tiny criters to fight in an irregular arena and other slowing math like darkness and miss chance. It was just painfully dull, as the rats were measely but still had an irritateingly high AC. Always plan and...

How to use Pixies & Satyrs?

IMC I have a 'prank war' going on between a band of pixes and their semi rellitives gremlins (made myself, don't know whether other products have used the name), Its gradually getting more and more out of hand. One characters hair has now been permanently changed colour to green, another has a...

    Devil Eye Theatre Presents...

Here’s an idea for a ‘semi-adventure/item’ I had that I thought I’d post, to share and to develop it and get any extra ideas from you guys. What do devils do to entertain themselves? As well as quarrelling amongst their own kind and warring with demons, everyone knows a devils favourite past...

How much evil can a mundane man cause?

I can imagine this very smart (slightly out of his head) guy getting access to other powers, leaders and other contacts, he could then try to influence them to do what he wants without them even knowing. Kind of like an evil one man illuminati. Spreading rumours, lies, stirring things up etc...

    Fuma Shuriken

*thoughtful look* Er sily question, I may have overlooked this all this time :\ . For the normal shuriken, Does strength apply to them as any other thrown weapon?

    Adventure starts.

The characters in my campain were hard to put together from the start, so they actually all started in various places around the world (read island) and I used little events to guide them together. After about three sesions they were all together and on their way. I was actually suprised it worked.

    Between Adventures?

I tend not to use the term 'adventure' much, just about everything my players do is followed as it happens, with the ocasional 'fast forward'. Adventures are just something they do, and although obviously different aren't distinguished between with names. XP and level ups are handled at their...

    Fuma Shuriken

I don't think I would. although I have thought that normal shuriken should do more, perhaps 1d3 or 1d4. Maybe you could drop the cost by 5 or so.

    Fuma Shuriken

sounds a little like a chakram.

    Deck of Many Things Experiences

I would like to see a lesser deck, one that won't throw a campain in a totaly diferent direction but still with interesting efects good and bad, just nothing severe. Shake things up without spilling the glass. With emphasis on 'interesting' encounters rather than dull ability gains etc. Infact...

    Bokken (Japanese Wooden Practice Sword)

Great. Ive already been useing these in my campain, although now Ive got a name for them, thanks. My stats were diferent though, as other have said here. Damage (Small): 1d4 Damage (Medium): 1d6 Critical: 19-20/x2 Great. I’ve already been using these in my campaign, although now I’ve got a...

    Guard Dog?

Id probably go for riding dog with dif tricks etc, but id want to have a look at it. The cost regards the training someone must have provided; while most people could train a grumpy dog, only skilled trainers can raise a smart dog that you can ride on and obeys more comands. When a player...

Need a "go fetch X and I will help you" quest for 16th level

I've got to use that. And of course this rare breed is rare for a reason, the cows have a certain wanderlust and a taste for putting themselves (and their protectors) into pointless danger. :) Also as well as retriveing stuff, which any player has done countless times, trying to get rid of...

Im not sure and can't check now (sshhh, im at collage), but the equipment guide comes to mind. Have a look there.

Great uses for cursed items ...

May be a bit excessive, but a snazed up bag of devouring is the perfect anti purse snatcher device. The owner just has to remember not to use it, :\ Jeez, how weird would that look. Your on the street and someone just suddenly gets eaten by their handbag! ...which just lays on the floor for...

    Beanstalks

Well, they do say, you learn something every day. I was thinking of them in the wrong way, that an elevator would go inside a tube. I see it better now and it doesn't seem so absurd afterall. Well, if they think they can get on working in 15 years then I think the 600+ years in my world should...

    Armor as Defense and DR

Before I picked up my D20 modern and future books I was trying to put together a kind of 'frankenstein' system of all diferent systems and quite a lot of bits changed around. Couldn't make it work and it was far to inconsistent, but armour takeing damage was one of the things I was trying to...

D20 future starship combat, tweeks and improvements

Your turn system is probably about right, Its what I was thinking about, flawed as any would be but as good as I can think of for a grid. It also requires that you stick to all ships takeing up whole squares of space even if their narrow, which I didn't like much either. (am I just being too...
