    iterative attacks and TWF

I don't know the Saga model, so I cannot comment on that. If you take out multiple attacks, what fundamental change happens in the system? I can see thing's not changing all that much (in the sense of a standard attack) from what we know if attacks are fully replaced by something like the Book...

Malibu Stacey has a new hat!

For me, they're taking out the old, worn Malibu Stacey and replacing her with a younger, hotter Stacey. Now, it remains to be seen if Stacey has some substance under those clothes. I am in a profession where I move around a lot. So is everyone else I work with. So for me, it's a good thing...

    PHB, MM, DMG covers

Not a big fan of the covers. I thought exalted when I saw these covers. I really do not like the white background on the logo either.

D&D Game Table not Mac-Compatible at launch

"Pretty disappointing, if it means we'll be paying full price for limited functionality." Wow, that should be the Mac motto. I'd put in a smiley, but I hate them. So know that I joke.

    D&D 4E Will 4E be backwards compatible?

Let's hope it's not. I want 4.0, not 3.75. I'll really be interested to see how many of you folks who say you won't play will still be able to say that two 1/2-3 years from now. By then, Psionics and most the big campaigns will have a book.

    The big announcement: 4dventure

In this modern day where it seems like everything is getting leaked before it comes out, I'm really impressed no one knew anything about this. I feel like an idiot for not thinking it's 4th edition. I thought it was the Digital initiative, didn't even think about 4th. What if 4th edition and...

Sense of Wonder: What is it to you?

Save for the point buy, the OP's sense of wonder is what goes on in my game. Here are mine. Opening up the box set and seeing these maps and wonderful descriptions/situations that were keyed to each location. Knowing that once the party was done with this area, I have to fill in the rest...

    D&D Brand Manager of Fluff

I echo the thoughts of a big setting specific book. Make it clear to the writers that short of adventures, this all that's being printed about said setting.

    D&D Brand Manager of Fluff

    1. Villains of Eberron - Give a chapter to each organization. Detail each group's main lair, it's leadership, and how much influence it has (with example of what it has done) This would be mostly fluff, the crunch being the locations and the stats on NPCS. 2. Cities of Eberron - I'm getting...

What do you miss from the good ol' days?

You know, you're probably right. THAC0 and all of the loopy bit's of the rules is what I disliked the most. For my next fantasy campaign, I migt give C&C or something like that a try.

What do you miss from the good ol' days?

Something caused me to switch to 3rd edition. If my actual experiences were as fond as my memories, I'd still be playing second.

What do you miss from the good ol' days?

Liquid in a store room makes sense. But not mixing in barrels of acid with water and ale. Putting some gold coins at the bottom of said acid makes less sense.

Is WoTC even relevant to you anymore?

They are very relevant. Whatever they're cooking up right now is probably going to be good, they just have too much talent for it not to be.

What do you miss from the good ol' days?

Old D&D to me is 2nd edition. But here is what I miss anyway. Different XP amounts to level for different classes. A set XP for monsters, none of this CR stuff The feel. Wizards were old and wore funny hats. Thiefs were named "slinker" or something else and wore black. The dungeons didn't have...

DM's: how long does it take you to whip up an adventure?

It greatly depends on the type of adventure that is being run. A dungeon takes longer to make as opposed to a wilderness adventure. So give me an hour for an adventure that doesn't need a whole lot of planned structure, give me a couple more for a city or a dungeon.

What if your player wanted to make a bet?

I would say no. I don't want a single die roll having such a huge impact.

Did anyone here come into gaming *through* computers?

Warhammer : Shadow of the Horned Rat was had me interested in hobby gaming. Through that I guess it opened me up to the idea of RPG. So kinda, yeah.

    Mongoose Elric RPG?

The Traveler announcement had me going to the mongoose website where I saw the new Elric RPG. It had a release date of June 2007. Does anyone have it? Also, how is the system it uses? I looked at a character sheet, and it looked a bit "old school." Not in a good way, either.
