    Good sources for Victorian adventures?

Absolutely. And all of A.C. Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories. Kid Charlemagne did an amazing story hour mixing D&D with a Victorian setting: http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t=140875 It's a very interesting adaptation of Mad God's Key from Dungeon #114. I mentioned before that Vampire By...

Help me make D&D easier to DM

And in like vein, it's fairly easy in C&C to add rules like Feats if you really have to have them. "It's always easier to add than to take away."

Help me make D&D easier to DM

I never never never never tell the players what they're up against. Even if it's a kobold, I make time to change the description of their appearance--their stats stay the same! In fact, it's a sort of game-within-the-game: my players often have no idea what creatures they're fighting. They...

Help me make D&D easier to DM

To preface, I feel your pain. I was in a similar situation. Not only do I suck at math, I'm not a very good strategist, so my players would plow over my NPCs a little too easily. It became a real chore to DM, and I wanted a less-math-intensive game. I'm here to use my imagination, not run a...

[Dread] Jenga beat up my dice! My results from the indie horror RPG.

How in the bloody, oozing name of dread Cthulhu do you come up with the questionnaire? That was probably the one thing that turned me off to the game: I'm not smart enough to create good questions, and {most of} the people playing in my group aren't imaginative to fill out the questionnaire...

DM Tricks to Challenge Tough PCs with Weaker Enemies

Considering that Morrus & Co. are tossing people off the boards at the drop of a hat, I'm more than a little surprised about your attitude. Your posts have degenerated into side-discussions about things that have literally nothing to do with the topic of this thread and plain being...

    "Progress" in your setting

DM Tricks to Challenge Tough PCs with Weaker Enemies

Seriously considering Castles & Crusades: How much does it differ from 3.X?

Jim Hague, Imaro's sarcasm ^ aside, it really does sound like you started posting with your mind made up--that you didn't like C&C--ahead of time. It beggars the question why you even posted in the first place, when the OP was looking for the similarities and differences between the two game...

Seriously considering Castles & Crusades: How much does it differ from 3.X?

I'm still waiting for my 2nd printing books, but I have the 1st printing. Every thing jdrakeh says succinctly explains the differences bewteen the two systems, from what I can tell.

    "Progress" in your setting

I think I'm in love! (I have a setting that combines the post-Renaissance tech of {some of the domains of} Ravenloft, minus the horror rules, with Iron Kingdoms, minus the goblinoids, with generous splashes of Gibson & Sterling's The Difference Engine. The world once used to be Greyhawk, but a...

Ouch. That was bordering on un-neccessary. (...which is why I liked it. :) )

    Recommend a Dungeon Crawl Classic?

Face it, of my many wonderful attributes, modesty is certainly my greatest. ...But I've talked about me quite long enough. Why don't you talk about me for a while...?

DM Tricks to Challenge Tough PCs with Weaker Enemies

My player's 3rd level Dragon Shaman (copper) with Spider Climb unlimited/day can prolly handle this. edit: Note to self: never ever allow dragon shamans into the game again. Stupid 'auras'.
