    Survival without a priest

I am DMing a Forgotten Realms game, with no clerics in the group, and the players don't seem to have a problem with it. I do not give a lot of healing potions, and they sometimes get beaten to messy pulps, but still no player wants to play a cleric, and I will not be the one to force it.

(SL) Help requested! The Sage is in trouble....

I forgot about the Slitheren. They could also be made into a reasonable PC race, even though they would be reviled like, well, like Slitheren! :D P.S.: I apologize for being absent from your realm in mortality for this long. I've had a computer problem and had to dish out 300 bucks to fix it...

(SL) Help requested! The Sage is in trouble....

Hi Nightey! How about using a Sutak? I don't have my books at hand now, but I believe it would be a +1 or +2 ECL tops. Asaathi could also work fine.

A Question for Scarred Lands fans...

Skaven kicked major rear-end. Slitheren seem to be nearly as good.

A Question for Scarred Lands fans...

Hum, where is Nightfall? I still haven't got Warrens of the Ratmen, but Nightey certainly does. Wait awhile and he will enlighten you. :D

    Favorite Setting of All Time?

Re: *Spits and chokes* Can you further explain this? I read 2E Mystara and thought it was beautiful, specially when you factored in the Poor Wizard's Almanac series. The only Mystara product I have that goes back to OD&D is the Champions of Mystara boxed set.

    Favorite Setting of All Time?

I knew Nightfall would come along sometime or another... :D I believe the Scarred Lands has one of the best background stories in a fantasy setting, but still is too young to be a classic that would qualify for best of all time. Give it a couple of years and it will grow on everyone's minds...

    Favorite Setting of All Time?

Well, if we leave the realm of AD&D and D&D, you are certainly right. Earthdawn is still the best campaign setting and gaming system for me. Too bad it wasn't run by a large corporation with huge amounts of money who could keep it running....

    Favorite Setting of All Time?

Birthright and Al-Qadim beat all others in terms of originality and sheer elegance. Planescape and Dragonlance will always hold a special place in my heart. Mystara and Greyhawk are cool. Forgotten Realms is indifferent for me. Dark Sun is the only setting that really never held ANY appeal...

    what character would you make?

I'd probably make a Human 6th-level Wizard (no matter from which region), with Improved Initiative and Spell Focus (Enchantment) as 1st-level feats, and growing up from there. Only prospect for the future would be the Archmage PrC.

[Humor] The Lord of the Systems.

Perhaps.... GURPS players are starnge anyway... :D

[Humor] The Lord of the Systems.

A friend of mine, who is an avid GURPS defender in these times of D&D 3E, has come up with this piece of story. I hope you will enjoy it as the harmless attempt at humor it is, instead of attacking it. Also, remmeber this is a translation from his Portuguese text, so I can't even guarantee it...

    [OT] The jokes you hate

Uh, sorry for my ignorance, but what are those? And no, this is no troll. I actually don't know what you are talking about.

    [OT] Basketball anyone?

And so it is. :D And right in the nick of time too. I was getting kind of tired waiting for yet another great team in the franchise I have loved since first watching a NBA game in 1985. God, I hated those 90's...people always came to make fun of me because of the semi-sorry state my team was...

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Bold predictions... I believe none of those will be eliminated. Also, when I did a betting round with my friends here (5 points to get the winner - or draw - right, and 10 points to get the exact result right), my predicted finals was Italy 2 X 1 Argentina. :D

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

Congratulations for the English Team. They played very well, though Beckham was only a bit above average and deserved to get the red card for that elbow to Kily Gonzales. Verón didn't play crap. He seemed lost, and Aimar was a reasonably good substitute. Sinclair was a very fine surprise off...

    [OT] 2002 World Cup

I have to say I am disappointed. Nigeria played MUCH better than Sweden in the second half, but just couldn't score. So a really skilled and beautiful team goes down, while a boring team with a bunch of hardheads goes on. Larsson's first goal was nice though...
