40 year old man wants to join my game

Well. In that case, I'm not so chuffed. I'd bet my next paycheck, if you saw me on the street, you'd 1) never realize I'm a D&Der, 2) never guess I'm 37 (I've been told 25 - 30 by most people), and 3) have no hesitation to invite me to game. I'm just awesome like that, for an old geezer, and...

See? This is why I need to be a player at your table.

    adventure idea: sunken tower

Tree: Eric's point was that it's too brief for his tastes. (My gaming group finished it in, I think, one night--and we're slow as molasses at gaming.) Beefing it up is great, but it won't make the adventure last any longer. You might combine the first with another from Adventure Begins...

40 year old man wants to join my game

I was offended--and fairly ticked--at the snide, arrogant tone of this post. You're pointing a finger, accusing 30 and 40 year olds of being immature (or 'desperate') about wanting to game...yet you're being intolerant of age. Now that's immature. Needless to say, the rules of the boards...

    Conan 2nd Edition

I know Savage Worlds has their own take on Solomon Kane (http://www.smithandrobards.com/product_info.php?products_id=295), but you're saying Mongoose is jumping on the Puritanical bandwagon too? Oy vey.

Linkie please? My google magic has underwhelming results.

Dragon Shaman: does anyone have any in-game experience playing one?

I won't--and can't--argue that point. My player felt pretty cool. I'm just grumpy because my beloved GMNPCs got whupped. ;) (kidding of course)

    Castle Whiterock...

Hell, from what I've heard as to it's size and sheer fun-factor, it might be the last dungeon you'll ever play.

Worldwide Dungeons & Dragons Game Day 2007

And smelling them. Don't forget smelling them. (...what? The guys at my FLGS often reek. It's a sad fact, not an opinion. So don't forget your body wash, deodorant and foot scents this year please.)

Dragon Shaman: does anyone have any in-game experience playing one?

It was Vigor. Fast healing every round, as a constant aura left "on" for hours at a time until 1/2 hit points are reached, is kinda powerful. :: embarrassed :: ....course, it doesn't help that as DM I really didn't remember that they had to be at 1/2 HP or less. My player, while normally...

Dragon Shaman: does anyone have any in-game experience playing one?

When did I ever talk about half or fewer hit points?

What should a Worldwide D&D Gameday adventure have?

Thread is now subscribed, and I will be watching this space with interest. (I fall into the moderately-low experience DM category, so I would appear to be part of your target audience. I'll likely nab all of your write-ups and attempt to run them at some point with players. Umm, but not...

Dragon Shaman: does anyone have any in-game experience playing one?

I must be the oddball of the DMs here. I had a group of 3 players, and the DS's healing aura, combat aura, spider climb (the totem was copper, IIRC) and decent fighting ability consistantly handed my opponents' arses to them on a plate. ....Dunno, maybe the player just rolled very lucky...

How are you planning on Using Modern20?

I'd love to see a cheesed-out, cinematic, non-"gritty" (a/k/a non-"realistic") western setting done with these rules. Gimme fun, not real. I wanna be Blondie or Angel Eyes or Tuco. Hell, even Manco or Col. Mortimer. I wanna be Death behind a six-gun, spittin' out Hell in the shape of lead.

I'd love to see Clint Lee Van Eastwood Cleef Modern20, personally.

So, what published 3e adventures are you always going to remember?

Goodman Games' Into the Wilds. Awesome adventure. If you haven't played it, go and do so immediately. Much support for it in the Goodman forums, too.
