How? I've seen this assertion, but I still don't get it. What mechanics are present in 3e, that are absent in 4e, that enhance this? I honestly don't get it.

Marvellous. My 3e / AE setting is a combo of Dune and Nine Princes in Amber. I love what you have done with your ideas and will probably steal a bunch of things. My players are interested in 4e and I'm going to advance my timeline a bit. This will be a great springboard.

Hasn't affected our group, or me, at all. We're excited about 4e and looking forward to converting the campaign. If 4e doen't support the way we play, which is hard to imagine for me, we'll take what we like from 4e and go back to our 3x.e / AE hodge-podge.

A Zothique style game would be awesome. Right at the moment, you'll have to make something up to casually animate dead. Designing a ritual is probably your best bet as well as referencing the clerical summons prayers. I imagine the undead sourcebook will have the necromancer in it as well as...

Well, it took me about three hours to bust up and cart away a two-brick thick shell about 3' x 6' x 2'. It was pretty fun, actually. Now, the brick does crush more than stone, but I figure that someone in better shape and with a magical implement could do a pretty good job on a foot thick stone...

Hrm. I don't think I like that the magic item uses character resources. The benefit also drops markedly when the character's HP climb above 40, which is fairly soon now. Well, I'll still reserve final judgement until after I've read the books.
