Would you buy a Scarred Lands 4e?

Have you seen the Eberron Campaign guide? If you have a chance, flip through it. Would that level of setting specific data be acceptible to a person who wasn't interested in 4e but still wanted the setting material?

Tell me of your Arcana Evolved campaigns

I ran an AE campaign for about 2 years, although in a homebrew and not in the AE world. At first I ran adventures from Dragon Magazine, specifically the first three adventures in the Age of Worms path. I allowed rogues as a class, but other than that we were AE all the way. It worked really...

    Metamorphosis Alpha, 5th edition

I am eagerly awaiting this, if for nothing more than to mine it for ideas to make a revisitation to the Barrier Peaks module.

Was D&D the game you introduced role playing with?

Holmes Blue Book for me. A freind of my father's talked about D&D once, and he gave me a page photocopied from the blue book. It was the to hit chart and had a picture of a minotaur on it. That one page set the hook like nothing else. I went to a comic convention several months later and bought...

Would you buy a Scarred Lands 4e?

Absolutely. I've already gotten the pdf of the 4e Creature Collection. I would agree that following the PG / CG format is worth taking a look at. One of the things where the Scarred Lands suffered was the lack of a campaign book or gazetteer early on in the product cycle.

Eadric et. al. (The Paladin and his Friends).

Sepulchrave is a patient man. (Looks at Requite) Yep. Lots and lots of patience.

The Whiterock Castle Campaign- Nothing better than a good old sausage in you.

Regardless, I think they got killed by the minotaur.

So, how is this project progressing? Have the first game yet?

Dragon Magazine Annual Cover and TOC

Is that a hard cover? I think I would rather have it soft cover and a bit cheaper for a semi-random collection of articles.

    It's Dark Sun

    Yes, but only the queen.

    It's Dark Sun

I agree on the disconnect and its importance. However, there were gods at one time, presumably good and evil ones. With the actions of the Sorceror Kings tearing the plane away from other influences, would a good "Dark Sunning" of those races be the decendants of trapped outsiders? A poiniant...

    How breakable the races...

You know, I've been thinking about this as well. They are all encounter powers and they seem to have comparable utility. The one wrinkle that I can think of is that some powers are tied to a roll that is influence by a racial bonus (Dragonborn). As my campaign is tied to city-states, I have been...

    Thoughts on Amber v. Chaos

Amber v. Chaos & Pattern v. Logrus In building something comparable and evocative for my D&D game it took me some time to consider the differences between the two. They were the capstone powers of Zelazny’s stories. Magic, technology or other powers might be stronger or weaker in some shadows...

    Revisiting Dark Sun

Unfortunately I only played a couple of times, so having a compilation of rules and lore in two handy books will be great for me. If the campaign guide has the same balance as the Eberron one it will be a great resource regardless of your rules of choice. Character trees were basically you...

    Eclipse Phase: Sexy

That's probably it then. I've read Have Spacesuit Will Travel and Starship Troopers and that's about it of Heinlein's work. I'm pretty sci-fi deficient actually. I only picked up A Mote in God's Eye yesterday. :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to Eclipse Phase as well.

    Eclipse Phase: Sexy

You know, I actually found the Objectivist viewpoint refreshing. I haven't read a novel with a similar setting that made the same social assumptions before. Most of what I've read had been pre-cusp, post-cusp working socialism or post-cusp dystopia. It was different.

    Aeon (updated 10/9/14)

It has just been alluded to. Eadric lost his steed, Shomei was killed / claimed. That's what I remember from what has been mentioned. Kostechie may have been consumed by Mostin's Far Realms critter.

    4E Campaign Announcement Time/Date

If it was made like the Eberron Guides, all of them would be potential customers. With the campaign guide at least, there was very little in the way of 4e rules. It was all information. It would have a utility that was edition independant. Thinking about classes, assassin came to mind for the...

So, you're going to the nuthouse today...what book are you taking?

Well, it wouldn't be a RPG book because those aren't allowed. I might be able to fast-talk a copy of Ptolus in because it looks like a textbook.
