I think its great that open design allows fans of both editions to vote with thier wallets to determine which rules set will be used. I would be disappointed that anyone would begrudge another gamer a conversion. Lame

Indeed however when things get personal such posts are normally deleted and such posters are at least banned from the thread. In this instance not only was the offending post allowed to stand but I suspect there would likely have been no moderation at all if I didn't offer the Mods the alternate...

So far only the core gift set although if I am still playing a Swordmage when Arcane Power comes out and if it provdes some interesting Swordmage options I might pick it up.

When the same behavior by both factions is not moderated the same way and in this case moderated in a way which favors pro 4E discussion and discourages the opposite, yes this is a function of site moderation.

To me Darksun seems like a big departure from 4E design. 4E doesn't want you to bother worrying about how many arrows you have left, yet Dark Sun wants you to worry about even more basic resouce tracking like how much water you have. It can probably be done but if the empahsis on the harshness...
