I submitted a playtest application but never heard anything. I love the books and will likely be picking up the game, if nothing else I will enjoy reading it.

I love this game and the War of the Roses storyline. Someday I am going to run a DnD campaign based on the Lion War perhaps with one of the PCs playing the role of Ramza.

I have seen a lawful evil PC fit into an adventuring party flawlessly with zero disruption and would probably allow one if I were DMing a pre-4E ruleset game.

Dealing with it isn't really the issue. If the ritual suddenly works in matter other than it did the other times you used it, yet nothing has changed this creates an unwarranted change in things for no better reason than I'm too lazy to work around this and unwilling to simply tell the truth.

I imagine the person writing this post would not appriciate being told it was thier fault that the ritual didn't work instead of something far less complicated like say the truth for instance...

Those were great games we used to play quite often back in the day Fortress America was fun but it never got the amount of replay that A&A got. A&A used to get really interesting when some would get luck with research and get heavy bombers etc. I don't think we ever had someone play only Russia...

Reading this thread brings back fond memories of playing games like Conquest of the Empire, Axis and Allies, and Fortress America. Those were good times. Does anyone still make games like those anymore? I think I still have a copy of A&A in a box in my basment somewhere.
