I think "tampering with the norm" is often a great way forward, this is a game of fantasy and the imagination, we get the tools and then should do what we like with them. It can be a way to pump new life and surpeises into seasoned gamers too, after years of gaming players will start to know...

Funnily enough a charcter in a game I play in was recently turned into a vampire, who has been for quite some time the lady we have been doing missions for who is also my employer (i'm one of her librarians by day) adn I'm also a monk, so it could very well be we have a vampire monk in tow...

I still use some of them cards but now in the age of modern technology I can also print out the pictures for my players to see if so needed..... But still I could be tempted by Monster Cards with soem nice new art work on...
