errata files & 3.5 revisions - Liber Bestarius, Monsters of the Endless Deep, Wilds..

What about Nyambe's corebook monsters? And it has some pretty good ones too. If the CC guys who are waaay more experienced at 3.5 monster conversion haven't done it yet, and it's OK to share that sort of thing here, I could post my own attempt to convert them to 3.5 when I'm done. The...

    Barbarian Olympics

And to mix it up in a swimming contest some more, how about some barriers that require the swimmer to go under the water and through an opening in order to advance. The swimmer has to dive to look for it, maybe with Spot checks to sight it or Dexterity checks to feel for it. But if he doesn't...

    Barbarian Olympics

Those ESPN "tough guy" contests are a goldmine of inspirations for "barbarian Olympics". How about that one where they have to lift big boulders onto pillars? Also: Wrasslin' Log Throwing Tug-of-War Cliff climbing Ritualistic hunting? Swimming

    Dragonlance Questions. Please help.

Is the deity Reorx a dwarf or a gnome in the newest incarnation of DL? Has he changed over editions? I've tried to read up on DL a bit online, and this deity just has me confused.

    Advance Series: Concept

Oh, by "my" naval sourcebooks I should have specified ones that I own, not anything I've made myself. I have Living Imagination's Broadsides! and Mongoose's Seas of Blood, both 3.0e. I haven't yet picked up Mongoose's Book of the Sea which is 3.5. I also tried making a couple of sailing ships...

    Advance Series: Concept

I see kind of an interesting challenge here, because in many ways D&D already looks more Renaissance than medieval: the economic system feels post-medieval, some of the weapons and armour are already Renaissance-era, gnomes already write tomes on engineering, and so on. I think a Renaissance d20...

    A concern for the creators

Book of Exalted Deeds? Wherever it's from, if anyone out there has the Artificer's Handbook it might be interesting to build this amulet under that system and see what the gp cost looks like.

(trolllord) Book o' Familiars in my mailbox!

Can I quickly ask that since it has sheep, does it have goats and chickens too? On top of the whole familiars thing, I've kinda wanted stats for common trade animals handy. Appendix B sounds pretty interesting.

Star Wars III title: Birth of the Empire

The title Rise Of The Empire sounds good, but then it would be abbreviated in online discussions as ROTE - that's just asking for it, don't you think? Birth of The Empire abbreviates to BOTE, which is listed in the dictionary as a dialectical British past word for "bite"; that's funny as...

(Mongoose) Encyclopaedia Arcane Compendium - Out Now!

Illusionism stands to gain a lot from a revision, I think. Two schools of magic per volume would be nice, but I think there should be at least one until they're all covered. Transmutation needed the least "help" of the arcane schools but it's nice to have it covered to complete the set I guess...

What would you do with a Rouge Toad?

I dunno what to say about the rouge toad, actually I'm kinda more curious about this "half Dorc". I've met some Total Dorcs in my time, but I didn't know Dorcy characters got many chances to cross-breed. :)

WOTC news??? (Been out of touch...)

Anyone want to tackle the "decency clause" for third party products? I forget the details but it was a huge controversy for a few days... and now it seems everyone's either forgotten about it, or doesn't think it's worth mentioning now! ...

    Recommended sourcebook for familiars?

I have the Mongoose one. I was pretty satisfied with it as it touches on everything I wanted it to, though it doesn't go real deep into too much at 64 pages. Like Mongoose's Constructs book also from the EA line, it feels like a "workbook".

    Khopesh

Monkey God's From Stone To Steel has the Bronze Kopesh as 1d6 18-20/x2 slashing with no special abilities, citing the chopping blade as closer to an axe than a sword. The illustration on p.45 has the kopesh more like a "lightning bolt" shape than a question mark.

FR: Players Guide to Faerun is out what do you think?

Are all the spells updated from Magic of Faerun there or are there some new ones? I never did pick up Magic of Faerun, has it been rendered obsolete by 3.5 and this new book particularly?

[Fighting Fantasy] Gamebooks -- anyone else?

Oh yeah, I eventually had the first 20+ of those. I saw Forest Of Doom at the book store and wanted it based on the cover. I think that was the summer of '85. I guess that was my first experience with pen-and-paper game abstraction how you could heal battle wounds by eating your food, just like...

    Output of an adamantine mine?

Mongoose's Quintessential Dwarf devotes 13 pages to rules for mining and smelting. The notes at the end do admit that the progress is set unrealistically fast to preserve the high fantasy vibe.
