    Contingency Healing

That feather fall example isn't in the SRD and I don't have my PH here, but I seem to remember it says "more than 5 feet." In that case, it can react when you've already fallen the 5 feet, since that won't damage you. I guess the question for the original poster, rather than quibbling about...

    Pricing a PDF?

I don't know anything about the "biz", but I do know what I'll pay for. Say a short-ish hardcover supplement (like one of the complete books) sells for about $20 (on Amazon). 60% of that would be $12.00 which seems quite reasonable to me. Regardless of the fact that there are no printing...

    PDFs and bookmarking.

I think a more interesting question might be "would you be willing to pay a little more for a bookmarked PDF?" That is, do people recognize that it takes a bit of effort to keep the bookmarks accurate during development and would they be willing to pay, say a 5% higher price?

    Your monster name

Jogger-Injuring Monster from the Arcane Dreaded Earth All I can do is injure joggers (granted a handy ability) but at least I'm from the Arcane Dreaded Earth! Booyah!

    Contingency Healing

So how would you phrase such a contingency, assuming the DM doesn't like meta-game wording. You can't say "if I'm knocked unconscious" because that's way too close the the edge (resulting in the above problem). You can't say "when I get to 30 HP" because it's a metagame concept. You can't say...

    Assassin Fixation...Psychological Discussion at Work

I think a lot of people like to play their own opposites (as others have pointed out). This isn't always the case, but I recently noted that I often play suave, debonaire, hyper-competent swashbuckler types who always know just what to say. So that's one vote for playing your opposite. :)

    It's FRIDAY!!!

Ok, that sounds cool. Not the dresses and purses thing! Nope. Not that at all. :D Seriously sounds like a lot of fun. I never go anyplace fancy. They look at me funny in those places.

Test your knowledge of World Geography

I did. In most cases the best I could do was click in the middle of the correct country and hope for the best. :D

How do you fix Crappy Spine Syndrome?

I thought this thread would be about chiropractors. :) I've never successfully fixed a book like this. Depending on how big the inside margins are it might be time to either 3-hole punch the pages or just start carrying the book around in a big ziploc bag. How many pages is the book?

    It's FRIDAY!!!

Running my D&D on Saturday (it's going to get ugly :) ) and generally trying to recover from a week in which I've been stressed heavily, though not nearly as heavily as Queen D herself.

Test your knowledge of World Geography

I played a few times and maxed out at 5141, but as with MonsterMash I got some pretty easy ones, including Providence, RI which is very close to where I live.

Cave of the spiders - Newbie PbP GM

Lucas and Donnybrook ready their weapons. They are immediately greeted by the sight of an enormous spider the size of a dray wagon hurtling toward them out of the darkness. The two seasoned adventurers immediately let fly. Donnybrook's arrows have no trouble finding a mark on the huge target...

4245 for me. I'm pretty happy. I even got the African cities to within 500 km. Way off on Kuala Lampur, though. :)

Cave of the spiders - Newbie PbP GM

As the group stands discussing the issue, Lucas extends his awareness down the pit 50 paces or so beyond their position. Spoiler for Lord Raven: The shaft goes straight down about 50 feet and widens into what looks like a natural chamber. When you move the arcane eye down into it, you see...

    Will you bee seing Doom?

I probably won't get a chance to catch it in the theater, but I'd like to. Dwayne Johnson and Karl Urban in one movie is enough to make me show up.

Living Superheroes World (Come join the fun and the debate)

Since I don't have my M&M book yet (lying Amazon shipping estimates grumble grumble) I couldn't start tomorrow or anything. But I'm definitely up for making a character once it arrives.

Peter Jackson to be an Executive Producer on the Halo movie

Eh. I guess I just never "got" Halo. I've played the game a couple of times but it didn't grab me the way it did some people. I'm sure with Peter Jackson and Weta involved, the effects and production values will be top notch. Who's directing? Might be a good movie, but I won't rush out to...

Cave of the spiders - Newbie PbP GM

The group advances into the cave, following Sirius. They move somewhat slowly as Lucas is still dividing his attention between his surroundings and the visions provided by his arcane eye. As they leave the daylight behind, Girble is pleased to note that he can see nearby things quite clearly...
