    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Thanks LunarSquid amigo! :giggle: I think I posted the chapter breakdown before: Chapter 1 Epic - what is epic? Chapter 2 Immortality - trappings of immortality, how to become immortal, divine realms, immortal races etc. Chapter 3 Divinity - higher tiers of play, divinity templates, new...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Cheers MazzleDazzle mate! I think the big difference between this book and my 3.5E stuff is going to be the quality of the art and the sheer amount of the art. The cover I posted is a wrap-around double page illustration of the God Reaper. There are at least 9 double page spreads of art...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Hey Arcanist amigo! Still a 'bit' to go, we are not in the countdown month just yet, but its going good.

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Hey Distracted DM buddy! I'm interested to see what people think of the simplification of the 3.5e Immortals Handbook mechanics as well as all the new features. Plus there are a few gods in the book inspired by famous comic book villains I think you will get a kick out of.

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

Howdy Akira buddy! :) Yes its about time. As much as possible*, though I am starting to get a bit self-conscious about the page count going over 400 pages. I don't want the book to become unwieldy at the table (if that makes any sense). *That said, there are about 20 stat-blocks in the...

    God Rules: Players Guide (5e)

While still over a month away from release (I know, sorry), I thought I would share the cover, logo and title of the new book and see what you all thought. Cover art is by Carlos Villas (though I have made a few tweaks to the runes myself). I am working on the new website and will hopefully get...

    D&D General Killing Gods

If you have a spectrum of divinity (and D&D always has) then I fail to see why mortals could not interact with the lower end of that spectrum. Additionally, given that many of the most infamous monsters in D&D (Orcus, Tiamat, Demogorgon, Lolth, Vecna and so forth) have a long history of being...

    D&D 5E (2024) Class Iconic Art in the 2024 Player's Handbook

Those are much clearer. :giggle: Agreed. Its fantasy though, not cosplay/reality. Some exaggeration is fine. I don't want to play an average Barbarian, I want to play an exceptional Barbarian.

D&D 5E (2014) Some adventure cover "mock-ups", which do you like most?

3 looks the overall best (IMO), though seems very 'Dracula posing for the camera' and lacks both dynamism and a sweeping sense of grandeur, one of which would make the image more iconic. 3, while static, has the castle and moon and compositionally I think is better than the others, even if the...

    D&D 5E (2024) Class Iconic Art in the 2024 Player's Handbook

They have definitely upped the quality of the art from the 2014 books. I agree, fire away! There is a definite hint of bewbs, that coupled with the make-up and expression suggest female to me. Facially looks totally female to me. You could argue slight muscularity on the arm hints at a...

    D&D 5E (2024) Class Iconic Art in the 2024 Player's Handbook

Thanks to the OP for posting these, great to see all the new class art side by side. Really like the female elf Bard, human Berserker, dwarf Fighter and human Soulknife illustrations. However... Are we looking at the same illustrations? I'm counting 33 female characters, 14 male characters...

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase TOC and Zargon.

If he really wanted to Asmodeus could kill Zargon and give the horn to one of his Archmage servants who would hire a party of do-gooders to get the horn to the relevant place for its final destruction.

D&D Historian Benn Riggs On Gary Gygax & Sexism

Howdy Aldarc! :) Yes I phrased it wrong, I meant Chaoskampf/Drachenkampf is universally recognised as 'a thing' (as you yourself point out), not that every sea serpent was universally feminine, my mistake. Well Behemoth is often depicted as a Hippo, so at home on land and sea, but I agree...

D&D Historian Benn Riggs On Gary Gygax & Sexism

Chaoskampf (or Drachenkapf) is the mythological battle of Order versus Chaos. With Order universally seen as masculine and the sky, Chaos universally seen as feminine and the sea: Hence the Sky God vs Sea Serpent trope we see time and again in mythology: Thor vs. Jormungandr, Marduk vs. Tiamat etc.

Immortals Handbook: Gods & Monsters 5E Early Preview (Feedback encouraged)

Hey there Akira mate! :) I'd say its 70% done. But the finish line is still 2+ months away. Some weeks I get 15 pages finished, some (like this past week) I get 3 pages done. This week I decided it would be a good idea to illustrate a magic sword for each of the 36 new materials (18 for...

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase TOC and Zargon.

Have you noticed any official high CR monster that needs to be toned down? I can think of one or two low CR monsters maybe, but nothing above CR 10 springs to mind.

Would you say he is a deadly threat for a Level 12 Party?

Surely they could still attack his tentacles (with disadvantage).

D&D 5E (2014) Quests from the Infinite Staircase TOC and Zargon.

When gamers complain the high CR monsters are not dealing enough damage I fully expect WotC to listen to the feedback and then do the complete opposite and tone down high CR monster damage...because of course they would. :ROFLMAO:
