How have you lost the most gaming books?

I sort of left a couple 1e books at a friend's house, but I didn't really care much about D&D anymore at the time (around '87-'88). So I never bothered to ask for them back and eventually forgot about them. My other stuff was "regular" D&D and I think I just allowed them to get thrown out by...

Quick, someone post some stats for this critter

Cool fringe man! I think it might have been fossilized in the early 1970s.

IS Gary Gygax's World Builder Hardcover any good?

It was pretty much pounded into the dirt at RPG.net. Yeah, a lot of stuff is bashed over there, but... the main thrust of it was that it doesn't really help you build a new world, it helps you come up with descriptions for things like trees, herbs, interiors of rooms, and other stuff you can...

[OT] KDLadage's First Annual Christmas Limerick Contest! <- WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Here are some more I didn't post in favour of my official one (maybe you'll think these are better, who knows). The last one especially needs to be taken tongue-in-cheek! :D There was a Red Wizard from Thay Who was stopped by a threatening fey. "Think you're scary?" huffed he; She replied "You...

[OT] KDLadage's First Annual Christmas Limerick Contest! <- WINNERS ANNOUNCED

There once was a well-mannered orc Who ate all of his food with a fork. Said the elf "that's quite fine, But to get at the wine It's much better to just pull the cork."

    What's your 3.5e wishlist?

besides the usual requests like ranger and harm spell: - Rework gaining ranks in the Perform skill so it works like Profession, the way CoC d20 does it. Then rework the bard so.... ehh, this won't happen. - use some of those extra DMG pages to include variants covering WP/VP and called shots...

    Stone Age d20?

Have you had a look at the two shaman core class books put out by Green Ronin and Mongoose? (Shaman's Handbook and Encyclopedia Divine: Shamans, respectively)

    How to roleplay Int 6?

Another possibly inspirational movie person could be Peter Sellers' character in the satire "Being There". The gardener had low Int, but was perceived as very wise.

    Animal Characters

Exalted Beasts also get a supernatural ability that works much like the "dominate animal" spell but can work on more than one critter at a time, depending on HD.

    Animal Characters

Green Ronin's Shaman's Handbook has an Exalted Beast template to allow intelligent animal characters. They can gain levels in any class except monk, paladin or wizard. And yes, they can talk.

    D20 Modern Campaign Ideas?

I'm up for a weird fantasy WWII as well. If we got three naval supplements for medieval/Renaissance worlds, what are the chances we can get one modern naval one? Ironclads for steampunk and big orc battleships would be cool.

Place to ask questions about BoVD

The Book of Vile Darkness - it is mine, review within

This question would have been better off early in the discussion, but.... did they really end up going with the cover art that's been posted online (and called 'too cartoony' on this board), or was the final one changed like other covers have been?

    Egyptian Adventures!

Any tips on placing the Egyptian underworld somewhere within the Great Wheel cosmology? I'm talking something like adding a third layer to Arcadia for Egyptian "heaven" and adding another layer somewhere else to hold Egyptian "hell", like the Abyss.
