    Spooky Music

Creepy music is handled by Current 93 in my sessions. Monte Cook did a couple of articles about "music in your game" and mentioned their album "Faust" as being creepy. I found a site selling it through google. Definately creepy, not much chanting though.

New Dungeon Tiles - what do you want to see?

Furniture and dungeon trappings. Dozens of 1" squares depicting furniture, barricades, obstacles, desks, chairs, and other interesting "set dressing".

    "Standard Thief S***"

 This happens all the time in my games. Much like a previous poster, I would be pleased if my groups had something like this. To me, it shows one of the weak points of the game. All of these repetitive actions should be condensed rules-wise. I've been toying with the idea of allowing the...

So I'm building a gaming table...

When I built my gaming table I went down to a local hardware store and picked up a 4x8' board of some material I can't remember (I'll try to find out and update my post when I do). It's essentially white board without the expensive price tag (a sheet of it cost something like $30.00 CAD)...

How to Make D&D Accessible to the Non-Mathematically Inclined?

It's been stated more than a few times already, but I'm curious... For DMs who have players in their group who are non-mathmatically inclined, do you find that it's the number of modifiers that come into play that's causing the problem or simply an inablilty to do the actual math?

Dr Who trailer for new season on BBC 1

I'm a huge Doctor Who fan and I have to totally agree with this. It has great potential and there were a few good episodes (I enjoyed Countrycide) but it always feels like the producers/writers don't know what they want the show to be.....

    Best Gestalt Combos?

In my SCAP campaign one of the players is using a Scout/Sorcerer and that seems to be working pretty well.

Planescape, Inner Planes and Guide to the Astral Plane

You're not kidding. I've been looking for months and haven't been able to find a copy that I can afford.

Best First Level Module for New Players

I would check out "Of Sound Mind", I think it's one of the strongest low-level modules available (although there are more than a few listed here that I haven't looked at). While location based, it doesn't seem like your typical dungeon crawl, there's plenty of backstory and RP possibilities...

Wound / Vitality Point System from UA Question

This is now about to change to a house rule post, but I've been thinking about dropping the FORT save to DC 5 + wound damage rolled (not inflicted). What do you all think? Viable? Thanks again, it's appreciated.

Wound / Vitality Point System from UA Question

Because disabled does not equal dead. Because being disabled does not even equal being prone. Because the character was the only one who was in the Elemental's "area of control". Because the elemental had already whirlwinded his companions in a river of lava. Because the character couldn't...

Wound / Vitality Point System from UA Question

I've been DMing my group through the World's Largest Dungeon for the last year and a half (and pray nightly that I'll be done it soon). We've been using the WP/VP system presented in the Unearthed Arcana. I read a lot about how it's pretty easy for high level PCs to die because of a critical hit...

    A Good WW2 Shooter

I was a fan of Red Orchestra. Eastern front, little more complicated by the lack of a crosshair, but it was definately fun (after a few games to figure out the play style). I'm not sure how many people still play it, but it was good.

Shackled City, Age of Worms or Savage Tide?

Are they though? I believe the Life's Bazaar issue of Dungeon (1st adventure of Shackled City) states that it was designed for 4 characters. In the hardcover they say 6 characters. I've heard the other two AP's are tougher yet, so I wouldn't be suprised if they were for 6 characters as well.
